Anthony Fauci - Trump revokes security detail for Fauci

Someone actaully said that here in this forum, can't remember who...was it jon_mx? -
You are on ignore. Bye Bye!
-
If that is true, then that is sad commentary about where you are coming from. You seem not to care about how the results will impact the rest of us, who didn't vote for him. And remember that Trump didn't win a majority of votes and only beat Harris by 1.5%. That is not a mandate from the people.

They approved of his "Grab em by the comments" They approved of his mocking a disabled reporter. They approved of his calling Latino immigrants "Bad Hombres" They approved of his name calling like "Little Marco" and calling Ted Cruz's wife ugly. What behavior or actions of Donald Trump has the MAGA crowd ever disapproved of? -
Yet you had no objection to him being named Secretary of Defense just because he was Trump's pick and if that what Trump wants, you felt that we should just go along with it.

Putin just said the Ukraine war would've NEVER HAPPENED if the 2020 election wasn't stolen from President Trump.

Typical on this forum to find a thread with people cheering what Putin says. -

Trump: I'm signing an executive order to open the pumps and valves in the north to get the water pouring down here as quickly as possible and let hundreds of millions of gallons of water flow down into Southern California. What the hell is this nonsense? Does he think the problem with the wildfires in Southern California can be fixed by just pulling a switch? -
Donald Trump wants states to handle their own natural disasters instead of FEMA.

Donald Trump says he wants the states to handle their own natural disasters instead of FEMA. https://x.com/ArtCandee/status/1882824426791837831 (video clip of Trump at link) Brilliant! This should really go over with the Red states having to deal with hurricanes on their own. Fun Fact: Florida, Louisiana, and Texas receive the most FEMA dollars: from 2015 to August 2024—Florida received $2.5 billion, Louisiana $2.4 billion, and Texas $2.3 billion. -

FEMA relief and aid to Ukraine are not mutually exclusive, there is certainly enough money to do both. If you think Trump would take the funds intended for Ukraine and then use it for FEMA disaster relief, I got some ocean front property in Arizona I would like to sell you. -

The concern is that the virus might mutate into something that can be really deadly to humans. Experts think that the "Spanish Flu" epidemic of 1918, that killed millions worldwide, might have started as an avian influenza

Fine. Just don't complain when there is no fresh produce at the market or what there is has doubled or tripled in price.

No ancillary deportations? Oh, please. The meme is These Invaders Are Taking Our Jobs! If the sanctuary cities handed over just the "criminals" that wouldn't stop the call for mass deporations that Trump and his followers want (irrespective of the fact that none of the MAGA folks would ever take the job of a migrant worker spending all day picking crops in a field in the hot sun).

Republicans introduce amendment so trump can get third term

Yup. That is why your favorite member of Congress, Maxine Waters, keeps getting elected (her constituents love her). -
https://x.com/ScMesab/status/1882825902905528799 #Breaking Trump Administration Grants ICE Authority to Revoke Parole Status for 1.5 Million Aliens The Trump administration has authorized Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to terminate the parole status of approximately 1.5 million individuals, potentially leading to their deportation. This policy shift targets those who have overstayed their authorized stay in the U.S. under parole status. Critics argue that the move could disrupt the lives of many who have been legally residing in the country for years, while supporters see it as a necessary measure to enforce immigration laws and maintain the integrity of the system. This decision reflects the administration's ongoing focus on stricter immigration enforcement.

Republicans are against term limits if POTUS is a Democrat. Both Clinton and Obama probably would have won a 3rd term IMO (if polls are to be believed) if they had been allowed to run. -
1) Jim Jordan was subpoenaed by the Jan 6 committee and refused to show up and there was no penalty. 2) As noted before, they could refuse to answer questions (via the 5th amendment) for any actions that are not covered by the pardons. 3) Assuming they showed up (and why should they if Jim Jordan didn't have to?) they could be compelled to answer questions if given full immunity from prosecution for anything they admit to.

Rhode Island judge specializing in immigration law resigns after FBI raids office
squistion replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
This was a Municipal Court judge who also has a law practice that specializes in immigration law. -
No, not if the answers would expose him to prosecution from other actions he might be charged with that are unrelated to what the pardon covers (so he could plead the 5th amendment).
-
No, if you are granted immunity it only means that you can be compelled to answer questions and can't use the 5th amendment, sinc the answer couldn' incriminate you.

But that would be a separate amendment, and unrelated to the topic of this thread.
