Your "context" is that because some Muslims in the world commit horrible crimes, that means you can call all Muslims savages. Fun Fact: No gay person has been thrown off a building in the United States.

FBI Warns of Criminals Posing as ICE Agents in 2025 kidnappings and assaults
squistion posted a topic in The Geek Club
CA State Senator, Scott Wiener: "No one could have possibly predicted that allowing federal agents to wear ski masks & not identify themselves would lead to lawlessness." https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2025-11-06/fbi-alerts-police-agencies-about-masked-criminals-posing-as-ice-recommends-they-show-id FBI urges ICE agents to identify themselves after string of impersonators commit crimes Ever since the Trump immigration raids began in Los Angeles in June, local leaders and community activists have criticized agents for sometimes making it difficult to identify them as federal law enforcement officials or refusing to identify themselves at all. Now, an unexpected new group has expressed its own concerns: the FBI. Citing a string of incidents in which masked criminals posing as immigration officers robbed and kidnapped victims, the FBI recently issued a memo suggesting agents clearly identify themselves while they’re in the field. The FBI explained its reasoning in a three-page document sent to police agencies across the country last month. In the memo, the FBI says that criminals impersonating law enforcement “damages trust” between them and the community and that law enforcement has an “opportunity” to better coordinate with their local, state and federal partners. It calls for informational campaigns to educate the public about impostors and for agents to show their identification when asked while out in the field. Undocumented immigrants and U.S. citizens have been detained by masked people on city streets, in hospitals, courthouses, and outside schools and places of worship over the last several months. California has banned the use of masks among law enforcement agencies, but on Tuesday a cadre of masked agents gathered in an offsite Dodger Stadium parking lot while carrying out more raids. [...] -

https://ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/politics/2025/10/11/amid-criticism--mamdani-leans-into-gay-rights Amid criticism, Mamdani leans into LGBTQ rights Saturday was National Coming Out Day, a natural opportunity for Democratic candidate for mayor Zohran Mamdani to talk LGBTQ issues. He championed trans rights in a new campaign video -- “New York will not sit idly by while trans people are attacked," he tells the camera -- and at a "Gays for Zohran" rally in Greenwich Village. “We have to stand up for queer New Yorkers every single day," he told the crowd. But it was also a chance for Mamdani to push back on the controversy over photos he took in July alongside a top Ugandan official, Rebecca Kadaga, who has spearheaded draconian anti-gay legislation. “Had I known that she was the architect of this horrific legislation and attack on queer Ugandans, I would not have taken it," he told reporters Saturday. Since when has the MAGA crowd ever cared about the facts or the truth? -
It is Trump's decision to do this but he says that Democrats are to blame for the flight cancellations?

Sandwich Guy acquitted of a misdemeanor brought by DOJ. ALERT: DC sandwich thrower Sean Dunn found not guilty of assaulting a federal agent! -
As might be expected, Trump remarks are gracious when asked about Pelosi's retirement.

Did someone take thier ball(poll) and go home?
squistion replied to Meglamaniac's topic in The Geek Club
Maybe, maybe not. We don't know who deleted the thread or why. It may have been the OP edjr. And I didn't throw a hissy fit. Please. I pointed out to the OP that some problems existed with the thread as he suddenly (after over 25 votes cast) changed it to making the votes public (which not everyone who had already voted may have wanted), In addition, I questioned the legitimacy of the results with a poll where the votes were made public, as not everyone may want to participate in a poll where the person they name as The Most Insufferable is a matter of public record. I figured edjr might change the poll back to being non-public or delete the thread and start a new one so folks could vote again knowing their vote would be made public (maybe he did that and hasn't gotten around to creating a new poll). -

I only know of one thread that was pinned where the OP was not Mike. -

The timeline IIRC is that the thread was pinned, then it was unpinned, and at some point the OP, edjr, changed it and made the poll voting choices public. After that it was deleted by person or persons unknown. I am still waiting for edjr to weigh on this but he hasn't been seen since the thread disappeared. -
Wait, what...this is from Marjorie Taylor Greene?

Talking about putting a postive spin on things. GOP Rep. Lisa McClain says the GOP lost badly because everyone is happy. "Voter turnout from Republicans was not high. Not high at all. But I think part of that reason is because Republicans, for the most part, are happy with what’s happening."
-
Who made you the thread police? As the originator of this thread, I think the discussion should not be limited just to Pelosi's actions in her role as speaker.
-
Oh, the irony. Kind of hard for anyone to take the moral high ground and say that Pelosi lowered the standard expected from her office with Trump as POTUS. Seriously, has anyone lowered the standard expected from the office of President more than Trump?

That is a lie spread by misleading video clips on social media of her speaking that were deliberately slowed to give the impression that she was either drunk or had been drinking. The truth is that Nancy Pelosi is a teetotaler, she does not drink alcoholic beverages according to friends, family and colleagues in Congress.
