Um, a Mexican telling jokes about his own people is not the same thing as someone white telling a joke about Latinos. I saw a YouTube clip with Pat Morita (The Karate Kid) who started out in the early 60s as a stand up comic (called himself The Hip Nip) and he said how he could get away talking about things (Like WW2, being Japanese and Japanese culture) that no one who wasn't Japanese could have. And there is a clip where he appears on The Hollywood Palace TV show where his opening line as he walks on stage is "Oh, those bright lights make me squint"

When you ask most gay men or lesbians when they chose to be gay or lesbian they can't tell you, they will say don't ever remember making a conscious choice, that they always felt that they were different for as long as they can remember.
