  1. It does too, since it goes to whether she comitted perjury. and unless there is a recording of what was said, the phone records by themselves can't prove that there was perjury.
  2. Or maybe the 3rd worst (since Trump was named the worst if you look what the poll respondents actually said, not how it was creatively interpreted by this Hungarian right wing propaganda outlet). I have never, before this, seen Ford excluded from any poll or ranking of recent presidents (can you find one outside of this where that was done?). They didn't explain why that they didn't have Ford as an option, so there was some reason and that seems the most likely answer (using Occam's Razor).
  3. No, I've never said there were "deep fake videos" (I don't know what that means).
  4. This is misrepresenting the results of a poll, not reporting.
  5. They are when they report accurately what was polled, which is not the case here. Look at the link again: https://x.com/J_L_Partners/status/1865007986344608006 When asked who was the worst President, the poll reponsdents had Trump first as the worst POTUS and Biden 2nd: Trump 45% Biden 44% The problem was this conservative Hungarian publication didn't want to present the actual results as they wanted Biden to be named the worst, so they did some creative math subtracting the best ranking from the worst to come up with this misleading headline.
  6. I guessing they couldn't up with a result that showed Biden as worst from the poll numbers they first got. So they tried different things and finally came up with this funky approach of "let's see how many voters place a president in the top and bottom two in their personal ranking" and use that. Maybe the first results of this creative poll has Gerald Ford as the worst. So they conveniently omitted him (for no logical reason since no other poll or ranking has done so) and voilà! Biden comes out as the worst.
  7. Still waiting for you to come up with another poll or ranking of Presidents that excludes Gerald Ford from the list. And it is pretty obvious why it was done here, because he would have probably come up as the worst with the creative way they played with the numbers.
  8. All those are irrelevant to the question I asked which was: Can you name any other poll of recent Presidents or any ranking of Presidents by historians that excludes Gerald Ford? I can't think of one.
  9. Does a poll of historians count? And they didn't excluded Gerald Ford either. https://www.axios.com/2024/02/19/presidents-survey-trump-ranks-last-biden-14th Read: Historians rank Trump as worst president Presidential historians in a new survey rank President Biden as the 14th best president in U.S. history — and put former President Trump last. The big picture: The tally came from 154 presidential specialists who are current and recent members of the American Political Science Association. They were asked to give every president a score, from 0 to 100.
  10. Can you name any other poll of recent Presidents or any ranking of Presidents by historians that excludes Gerald Ford? I don't remember seeing one. As I said earlier, this poll is a joke and no one should take it seriously.
  11. The poll is a joke. They wanted Biden to be declared the worst, so they got creative with the numbers and came up with something I have never seen done in any other poll before (and probably no one else has either).

  14. The Hungarian Conservative? Yeah, that sounds like a credible publication. And it was a very creative poll, manipulated with "an unusual method" - probably so they could get the result they wanted of naming Biden the worst in modern history (and to do that they also had to exclude Gerald Ford "for an undisclosed reason"). https://www.hungarianconservative.com/articles/culture_society/biden-worst-president-poll-jl-partners/ In a survey of 1,006 registered voters in the United States by J.L. Partners, incumbent POTUS Joe Biden was ranked as the worst among nine out of the ten most recent Presidents (Gerald Ford was excluded for an undisclosed reason). The poll used an unusual method, taking count of how many voters place a president in the top and bottom two in their personal ranking. 44 per cent of respondents placed him in the worst two, while only 14 per cent placed him in the top two, giving him a net score of negative 30.

  18. Doubtful: https://www.businessinsider.com/fani-willis-credibility-damaged-perjury-charges-unlikely-legal-experts-2024-3 Trump DA Fani Willis' credibility has been shot over messy testimony — but perjury charges are very unlikely: legal experts [...] Despite the conflicting stories, though, the likelihood Willis or anyone else involved in the case will ever face perjury charges over their testimony is slim to none, two legal experts told Business Insider. "It's possible, but unlikely unless there's something that is more of a smoking gun," Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor in California, said of potential perjury charges. Rahmani, the president and cofounder of West Coast Trial Lawyers, said there's "plenty of evidence" that shows Willis and Wade could have lied on the witness stand during the hearing, but said it's probably not enough to support a potential prosecution on perjury charges. "You don't want to file charges unless you're pretty confident you can get a conviction," said Rahmani, who noted that, when it comes to Willis, it would be up to the Georgia state attorney general to bring those charges.

    Elon musk shuts down govt

12 of the 13 prior shutdowns were all rather brief in nature, with most of them being for about 2-3 days. The longest shutdown was in 2019 for 35 days and perhaps not coincidentally, was under Trump. And I remember that people did notice. The Congressional Budget Office estimated the 2019 shutdown cost the American economy at least $11 billion USD, excluding indirect costs that were difficult to quantify. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018–2019_United_States_federal_government_shutdown
  20. https://x.com/AhmedBaba_/status/1870158670216019993 Musk overplayed his hand, angering Republicans. Trump failed at forcing a debt ceiling increase, exposing GOP divisions & the limits of his power. This shutdown infighting is a reminder that chaos, impulsivity, and incompetence are core parts of Trumpism.

Sooooo, let's wait and see if it goes to trial. It is pretty cut and dried that he did it, so there is a good chance a plea deal can be reached.
