Charlie Kirk post re Trump presser about plane crash. https://x.com/charliekirk11/status/1885005007705305401 (video clip at link) President Trump slams the diversity push at the FAA: "My administration will set the highest possible bar for aviation safety. Doesn't matter what they look like. They have to be talented..." "I do want to point out that, various articles, that appeared prior to my entering office. And here's one. The FAA's diversity push includes focus on hiring people with severe intellectual and psychiatric disabilities. That is amazing. And then it says FAA says people with severe disabilities are most underrepresented segment of the workforce. And they want them in. And they can be air traffic controllers. I don't think so. That was, a week before I entered office. They put a big push to put diversity into the FAA's program." -

Yes, if one believes in fate. I would say it was an example of "blind luck" for lack of a better term. -

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-administration-moves-to-begin-cutting-all-federal-dei-staff Trump administration moves to begin cutting all federal DEI staff WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump’s administration moved Tuesday to end affirmative action in federal contracting and directed that all federal diversity, equity and inclusion staff be put on paid leave and eventually be laid off. The moves follow an executive order Trump signed on his first day ordering a sweeping dismantling of the federal government’s diversity and inclusion programs that could touch on everything from anti-bias training to funding for minority farmers and homeowners. Trump has called the programs “discrimination” and insisted on restoring strictly “merit-based” hiring. The executive order on affirmative action revokes an order issued by President Lyndon Johnson, and curtails DEI programs by federal contractors and grant recipients. It’s using one of the key tools utilized by the Biden administration to promote DEI programs across the private sector — pushing their use by federal contractors — to now eradicate them. [...]

Trump Ends Affirmative Action in Federal Contracts

From the Twitters: https://x.com/garcoxgang/status/1884638930890268713 I'm going to be honest, when I see a white male in executive leadership I DO often assume he got there just by being a white male. Because just look at the literal president....got the most important job in the country with a blank resume. Failed tremendously, got the job again -

And a smiliar tragedy like this happened once before: https://www.reuters.com/world/us/renowned-russian-figure-skating-couple-were-board-us-plane-that-crashed-tass-2025-01-30/ In 1961, the 18-member U.S. figure skating team died in a plane crash en route to the world championships in Prague. -

And none of the organizations with LGBTQ in the name have ever removed the "T" which is just fact too. -

Trump changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico reminds me of the film "Bananas" where a Fidel Castro type dictator of a Latin American country announces "From this day on, the official language of San Marcos will be Swedish" -

But there has not been one organization in this country that has taken the "T" out of LGBTQ. Not one, which means gays/lesbians/bisexuals/Qs in those organizations don't have any problem with the 'Ts" being lumped in with them (or the letter would be removed, wouldn't it?) -

This wouldn't have made any difference in preventing this tragedy...but still the timing of this decision was horrible. https://x.com/freedlander/status/1884795060895498241 Eight days ago Trump issued an executive order freezing the hiring of air traffic controllers -

Trump didn't win a majority of the votes cast, so there was no mandate here. America has not spoken (or if it did it was by a narrow 1.5% of the votes cast plurality). -
Steers and LGBTQ? Where is the LGBTQ part of this in the above OP?

Not if the reason is they are saying no is only because the applicants are Women, Blacks, Latinos, Jews, Muslims, LGBTQ, etc. -
Great! She has been talking about the fake Trump Family Crest.

How many organizations call themselves just LGB or LGBQ and not LGBTQ? They are not considered "totally different" from LGBTQ folks, if they were the "T" would not have been included for the last 30 or so years. -
I understand due process under the Constitution and obviously you don't.

They have but they are still being discriminated against. -
You obviously don't understand the concept of due process under the Constitution that applies to everyone under the jurisdiction of the US (with no exception).
-
Due process under the law has nothing to do with whether you are a citizen or not, it applies to everyone here in the US per the Constitution (look it up).
-
Yes, and they along with everyone else in this country are still entitled to due process under the law, per the Constitution.

There were complaints about those names, but no one I can remember ever complained about the name of The Gulf of Mexico. -
Everyone within the jurisdiction of this country has a constitutional right to due process, one does not have to be a citizen.
