  1. You would think they might take the time to look up such an absurd claim before repeating as if it were gospel.
  2. When I heard the news of this tragic shooting, my first thought was "What willTaylor Lorenz have to say on this?"

    Biden-Harris administration supporting minor transition

No, she was more than qualified: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketanji_Brown_Jackson#:~:text=She received her undergraduate and,the United States Sentencing Commission. Jackson was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Miami, Florida. She received her undergraduate and legal education at Harvard University, where she served as an editor of the Harvard Law Review, and clerked for Justice Stephen Breyer, whose seat she later assumed on the Supreme Court.[3] From 2010 to 2014, Jackson was the vice chairwoman of the United States Sentencing Commission. In 2013, she was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as a district judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. President Joe Biden elevated her to the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in 2021, where she served until 2022.
  4. The Constitution requires that a defendant be given due process under the law. Given the irreversible nature of this punishment; SCOTUS is trying to prevent the government from taking a life without following all of the strict procedural safeguards, so that an innocent person does not receive the death penalty. Fun Fact: According to most studies, a life sentence without parole is generally considered to be significantly cheaper than executing a defendant, as the legal process involved in a death penalty case is much more complex and expensive, leading to higher overall costs for the state.
  5. Sorry, but SCOTUS says there is this pesky thing in the Constitution called "due process" that must be given to anyone who has been sentenced to death.
  6. It does not generally take 30 years. As of 2020 there was an average of 18.9 years from sentencing until execution. And SCOTUS is the reason. There is an extensive and lengthy appeals process set by the courts that must be followed (as much as some folks would like to fast track it).

This isn't about cutting off parts of kids, it is about gender affirming hormone therapies, not surgery.

It was an attempt at a right wing power grab, that is how it related to Trump.

    President Biden pardons son Hunter

https://x.com/karlykingsley/status/1863457612823453728 You all are acting like Hunter Biden stole classified documents and tried to overturn a free and fair election. Relax.

    President Biden pardons son Hunter

He had made the claim (paraphrasing) how the Democratic Party has always been racist. I pointed out that LBJ was the one chiefly responsible for getting The Civil Rights Act of 1964 passed. He should have just admitted he was wrong or called TCRA some sort of outlier or an exception. Instead he doubled down pointing to how it destroyed the African American nuclear family (as if that somewhow was the intent of LBJ and Democrats )

Chris Murphy on Kash Patel: "Oh, I will vote no, and I will organize not just my colleagues but the American public to understand what's happening here… Kash Patel's only qualification is because he agrees with Donald Trump that the Department of Justice should serve to punish, lock up, and intimidate Donald Trump's political opponents, and so the cost to the American public is pretty simple." @NBCNews
  12. Um, you asked the same question of me once upon a time in the PSF.

    Bye Bye DEI

Um, well, maybe because it hasn't ended in this country (or this forum, either, see the threads on Black History Month or Indigeneous People's Day, not to mention the repeated slurs used against Latinos, particularly the pejorative "Bad Hombres").

Why did Dems flip so hard on the border and illegals?

Your link is about the voucher program, not about paying tax dollars to escort illegals across the border.

NY Post. You got something outside of a Murdock owned market tabloid, to back any of this up? Still waiting for proof of the concierge desk and where exactly it was located (or was there one at each border town?.

Why did Dems flip so hard on the border and illegals?

Democrats set up concierge service to help illegals cross the border? Yeah, I believe that.

    UFO seen over Capitol Hill

I don't think they are all fake, but there is probably some reasonable explanation for them outside of being UFOs.

    UFO seen over Capitol Hill

Remember that for decades we heard about "alien abductions" and a lot of people believe it was real because there were so many reports of people claiming this happened to them. But guess what, once everyone had a cell phone with a camera the accounts of alien abductions ceased. I think these reports of the UFOs are in the same category (I don't think any of these videos are legitimate, that is, of really of UFOs).

    UFO seen over Capitol Hill

Neither. From the NY Post tweet: https://x.com/nypost/status/1862268845718692214 Mysterious lights over Capitol Hill causes UFO panic in DC: ‘It is already happening’ https://trib.al/Cs83y0Z Readers added context to the link: trib.al/Cs83y0Z The picture is a glare reflection off of the lens of the camera of the street lights below it, which is cropped out. It has the same spacing, just an inverted pattern. See below for a full, non-cropped photo.
