Speaking of Mike Johnson...

You can blame seafoam for that. He started a thread entitled "Biden's cognitive decline and health" which this thread was an answer or response to.

Q: Does DEI give preferential treatment? AI Overview No, legally compliant DEI programs do not give preferential treatment based on protected characteristics like race or gender. The goal is to prevent discrimination by ensuring fairness and equal opportunity, but programs that grant preferences, quotas, or set-asides based on these characteristics are illegal and can be challenged. A correctly implemented DEI framework should focus on creating unbiased hiring processes and ensuring all employees have equal access to opportunities, mentorship, and advancement.

https://x.com/Ronxyz00/status/1985207456176218302 (60 Minutes video clip at link) Trump: Obamacare is terrible. It's bad healthcare. We should fix that. O'Donnell: With all due respect you've been talking about fixing healthcare since 2015: Trump: I've been talking about it for a long time. We almost did it. We were one vote short. John McCain made a mistake. O'Donnell: Where is that plan? Trump: [ignores the question] (Fact: Trump has no healthcare plan) -

Trump seems to want to start a new era of US colonialism, which is not why most folks voted for him, even the MAGA crowd. -

So, Trump intends to do a regime change so the US can occupy the country and get all their oil? -
These appear to be senseless killings since Trump has offered no proof of the crimes these civilians have supposedly committed.
-
I don't like that he said it at all. As I noted earlier, he campaigned on the assertion that US could no longer afford to be the "world's policeman," but that is exactly what he wants to do here. The MAGA folks always say "That's what I voted for!" but I doubt they had in mind an invasion and occupation of Nigeria. I am curious to see the reaction of Republicans and those on the right in the coming days.
-
Well, gee, it might just have something to do with his post about invading Nigeria with "guns-a-blazing,"
-
You can't make this stuff up.
-
Innocents are killed around the world all the time, with an opportunity and responsilility for the US to do good. So why does Trump focus on just this country? What makes it different...could it be the oil and minerals?
-
That is not a strawman. Did I mischaracterize what Trump said during his campaign?
-
Wait...didn't Trump run on an "America First" foreign policy platform during his presidential campaign, with the assertion that the US could no longer afford to be the "world's policeman"?
-
You still have offered no proof this attack was done by Muslims - it may have been but it is just Anti-Muslim bigotry on your part to always jump to the conclusion that any mass stabbing is by a Muslim.
-
That makes sense since he appears to have a poor attention span and there were also reports from former briefers during his first term that Trump read little of his daily intelligence briefings - so he has probably nothing else to keep his mind occupied but to watch TV.

Chicago's Manny's Deli Provides Free Meals to SNAP Holders Amid Federal Shutdown Last updated 8 hours ago A federal government shutdown under President Donald Trump has delayed November SNAP benefits for 42 million recipients nationwide, prompting Chicago's Manny's Deli to offer free family meals to SNAP card holders starting Monday at its 1141 South Jefferson Street location. The initiative, available for dine-in or takeout through at least the first week, has received strong community support including donations and praise from Illinois Comptroller Susana A. Mendoza, though some critics argue it disadvantages non-recipients. Similar efforts by other local restaurants like Wooden Paddle in Lemont highlight a broader wave of private assistance filling gaps in federal food aid. This story is a summary of posts on X and may evolve over time. Grok can make mistakes, verify its outputs.

That is a lie. I didn't defend these murderers. Reread what I actually said above.

Since when has Trump cared about the plight of Christians anywhere in the world?

What do you base that on? Everytime there is a mass stabbing you always trot out this "religion of peace" nonsense based on nothing but your hatred of Muslims. What we do know is that the suspects were two British born, British nationals (some unverified sources say they are black) https://www.nbcnews.com/world/united-kingdom/no-evidence-mass-stabbing-london-bound-train-was-terror-attack-police-rcna241365 No evidence mass stabbing on London-bound train was terror attack, police say LONDON — Two British nationals have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after ten people were injured in a stabbing attack on a train that connects London to the North of England on Saturday night, according to police. Of the nine people thought to have life-threatening injuries, four have been discharged, and two "remain in a life-threatening condition," Superintendent John Loveless said in an update on Sunday morning. “At this stage there is nothing to suggest that this is a terrorist incident," he added, noting that both suspects, men aged 32 and 35, were born in the United Kingdom and remain in separate police stations for questioning. Britain's interior minister Shabana Mahmood said the emergency services had "saved lives" and praised the "exceptional bravery of staff and passengers on the train." "We now know this attack is not being treated as terrorism, and that two British-born, British nationals have been arrested," she posted on X. The identities of the suspects have not yet been released. Police are working “to establish at pace the full circumstances and the motivations that have led to this incident,” said Loveless. [...]
