  1. But it never will be for a variety of reasons, among them the concept of foreseeability and that punishment be proportionate to the crime committed, not to mention some violations of The Constitution (cruel and unusual punishment).

    Favorite one syllable band.

Most of the responses are one-word-bands rather than one-syllable, but carry on.
  3. From The Twitters: Biggest Sackler family mistake was not providing Thomas and Alito with private jets or vacation homes.
  4. Nice fantasy on your part, but I am not aware of any laws, anywhere in this country that are written with penalties like that.

    Fast food $5 meal deals

Yes, in Southern California (L.A.) where I'm at (kind of). From the Long Beach Press Telegram: https://www.presstelegram.com/2024/06/25/mcdonalds-5-meal-deal-went-on-sale-today-heres-what-you-get/ McDonald’s $5 Meal Deal went on sale today. Here’s what you get McDonald’s eagerly anticipated $5 Meal Deal is now on sale in Southern California. The deal appeared on McDonald’s app after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, the time restaurants switch over from their breakfast menu. “The rumors = true,” says McDonald’s website. Sort of, a spot check of prices throughout Southern California revealed. The deal includes four items from the fast food giant’s existing $1 $2 $3 Dollar Menu. The items are a sandwich, either a McDouble or a McChicken, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries and a small soft drink. The spot check showed several restaurants are charging $6 for the combo with the burger and $5 for the chicken sandwich. On its app, McDonald’s describes the meal as “starting at $5” and says in fine print that prices could be higher at some locations. [...]
  7. I wonder that all the time, after reading many of the posts in this forum.
  8. Meh. If this passes the House, it won't pass the Senate. Plus, will the bill define what specifically constitutes "reasonable efforts" of a state to prohibit the reckless obstruction of lawful vehicle traffic? If the bill is vague on that, there would probably be court challenges to withholding funds (which appears to be at the whim of The Secretary of Transportation).

CNN doing everything they can to block the debate fairuse

I would suggest whenever Trump uses the word "fixed" - however there might be too many resulting cases of alcohol poising.
  11. Link to where it is legal for a 12-13 year old in any state to have his weenie chopped off, as has been alleged here?
  12. How many of those were 18 and how many were 12-13 as was alleged in a prior post?
  13. Guess they didn't buy the "logic" of jon_mx's opinion piece.
  14. Anyone charged at with a knife or shot at with a gun is probably terrified. That does not by itself make the perpetrator a terrorist under any classification. Yes, there have been knife attacks with multiple people stabbed being labeled as a terrorist attack, but you can't find one where it is a single person threatening someone with a knife who didn't actually hurt anyone.. My point is when you call everything a terrorist attack just to do some more "tranny" bashing, then the term loses all meaning.
  15. Only if the narrative is true that he has dementia and can't string two coherent sentences together. And that is what we heard before The State Of The Union address, which he aced (see the spontaneous call and response segment with Republicans which obviously was not scripted). Most Americans have not heard his recent speeches at rallies and how incoherent Trump has become. Biden's staffers hope that is the Trump we will see.
  16. One person who charges LEOs with a knife is considered a terrorist? Talk about hyperbole.

  18. No, your link does not say that any 12 or 13 year old had their weenie cut off.

I doubt Trump would unless his test was by his doctor (which, of course, the legitimacy of the results would be suspect).

She didn't but I doubt posting links to fact checkers confirming this would make any difference to most in this crowd.

Why should Spirit Airlines celebrating Pride Month and sponsoring Pride events make anyone feel less safe?
  23. No, there is no truth to that statement.
