Oh, you mean that other board? I don't remember it as e: - wasn't it something like The Cage? It mostly was folks that had been permabanned at PSF along with MOP, and one of the FBGs' mods (who made some really awful antisemitic posts).

Fun Fact: Even if the board has been closed you can still find and link the threads that were in it. I posted a link recently from a thread in the PSF after someone said I never admit that I am wrong (which I did there on several occasions).

Listened to them? I bought the Piledriver LP and saw them live in the 70's when they were touring, I think at The Hollywood Palladium (as a supporting act, not the headliner). I remember them doing Don't Waste My Time, which had gotten some attention in L.A. And yes, they were obviously the model for Spinal Tap IMO with the changes they went through (with the later long hair and boogie sound the band had developed at the time I saw them), but we will have to agree to disagree on that. And I wouldn't really call Foghat a "Boogie Rock" outfit, per se. I followed them from the start after they split from Savoy Brown and would call them more a Hard Rock and/or a Blues Rock band (although some boogie was thrown in there too).

Status Quo? They are best known for being that the band that the movie/group Spinal Tap was based on (although the producers deny that). They were big in the UK, but on this side of the pond their only claim to fame is "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" #12 US Hot 100 in 1968 and one hit single is usually not enough in itself to interest the voters of TR&RHOF (rightfully or wrongfully).

I would add to the list of notable omissions: Tommy James & The Shondells The Guess Who Rory Gallagher As far as some of the artists you named above, a few comments: Peter Frampton: I wouldn't vote for him, but I can see him making the list because Frampton Comes Alive was hugely popular when it came out (sold 8 million copies) and you couldn't away from hearing it or seeing his press coverage. Plus Show Me The Way and Baby I Love Your Way still get a lot of airplay on Classic Rock stations. Foghat: I love Foghat but I think most Rock listeners would be hard pressed to name another song of theirs outside of Slow Ride. X: Never had a hit album (none made Top 50) or a hit single (Burning House Of Love did best peaking at #27 Billboard Hot 100) and TR&RHOF seems to place an overemphasis on sales (particularly LPs) and unless a band was a darling of Rock critics (Velvet Underground comes to mind) they probably wouldn't ever see a nomination if they didn't sell that well or get a lot of airplay.
