  1. A person can be entrapped into violently assaulting a police officer with clubs, flag poles, bear spray and other items they brought with them? Seriously? If any of their attorneys made that argument it is no wonder they were found guilty.
  2. https://x.com/KatiePhang Todd Blanche is up for Defense Closing:
  3. https://x.com/kylegriffin1/status/1795456248172662891 Judge Merchan to jurors before closing arguments: "You are the finders of fact, and it is for you and for you alone to determine the facts from the evidence." He reminded the jury that the "lawyers are not witnesses," and nothing in their summations constitutes "evidence." "You and you alone are the judges of the facts in this case."
  4. Even the ones who violently assaulted police officers? It would probably not surprise anyone here that you feel the violent offenders (captured on camera) should be released to.
  5. Actually, aliens could be asexual and if so, the concept of having genders would have to be explained to them.
  6. Violent left reaction? The jurors or anyone connected with the trial have nothing to fear from the left if there is a guilty verdict. However, the consequences might be some public celebrations across the country.

Trump talk only- no Eagles talk allowed (Steelers talk is OK though)

Urban legend spread by conservatives (inspired perhaps by a Law And Order episode which may have been based on the urban legend) https://www.borderreport.com/immigration/border-crime/border-authorities-refute-gop-allegations-of-rape-trees-rampant-in-south-texas/ Border authorities refute GOP allegations of ‘rape trees’ rampant in South Texas McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) — Republican lawmakers and candidates have been espousing the notion that “rape trees” — spots where migrants are sexually assaulted, their undergarments are hung as “trophies” — are prevalent on the South Texas border. But during interviews with Border Report, several border sheriffs and federal officials said they have found no evidence that “rape trees” exist. [...] U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, tweeted that he’d seen “rape trees” in July after visiting South Texas. He wrote: “What’s happening at the border is inhumane, it’s evil, and it cannot be defended.” But Border Report spoke with three South Texas sheriffs from the border counties of Maverick, Hidalgo and Webb, and all say they have never heard of such a concept, nor come across such structures. “I don’t know where they’re getting that information. What area? It’s not in Maverick (County) that I know of and I haven’t heard it from the other sheriffs close to my area,” Maverick County Sheriff Tom Schmerber said via phone Tuesday from his office in Eagle Pass, Texas. 10. Probably very few if any, I would imagine since they will probably want to maintain their anonymity (particularly if there is a guilty verdict).
  11. https://x.com/KatiePhang/status/1794708019436982490 Katie’s Sidebar: I’ve been asked several times when we should expect a verdict in Trump’s NY election interference trial. Of course that’s like reading tea leaves. But considering the fact the jury has been off for a week by the time they return for Closing Arguments on Tuesday morning, I think it’s a decent assumption we could have a verdict as early as Thursday. There are 34 felony counts. Each count stands alone, meaning that the jury must return a verdict as to each of those 34 counts. And recall: each count is linked to either a check or a general ledger voucher or an invoice. That’s how you get to 34. So, here are the following scenarios, generally speaking, that we could see occur: The jury returns a unanimous verdict of GUILTY as to all 34 counts. The jury returns a unanimous verdict of NOT GUILTY as to all 34 counts. The jury is HUNG as to all 34 counts. A variation of the above scenarios, although that would be unusual. As in, maybe the jury only convicts Trump on the checks themselves and not the invoices or general ledger vouchers?

Funeral for a person who committed suicide

Sadly, we haven't seen a whole lot from this crowd. SMH. I think some here have been unduly harsh in their criticism of the suicide victim, but that is just my opinion. We really don't know what was going through her mind or how rationally she was thinking at the time.

  17. Since these students will still have to pass the medical boards in the states they hope to practice, this won't impact the quality of medical care that anyone receives.
