There is nothing we really can. It is up the moderator(s) to address the over-the-top racism that is expressed here (which they have been loath to do). -

It makes sense that if the higher percentage of black players is a result of talent, then probably that same talent should translate to a higher percentage of black players at the coaching level, unless you want to argue that whites are smarter and thus make better coaches (which, by the way, is the reasoning that racists used for decades as an explanation as to why there were so few black coaches). -

If they are playing who they think are the best players, then it can't be racist. Sounds like you are calling for some sort of affirmative action for white players at the HS and college levels. -

What I find amusing and a bit ironic is that Morrissey, who has used offensive racist language, would probably have no problem at all with Smiths' songs (or his own) being played a Trump rally. -

They should and if it about athleticism and playing ability, it can't be racist, can it? -

If players are chosen by talent and their playing ability, how is that blacks are over represented in the NFL? -

And what is the percentage of black players in the NFL? It should come closer to representing that than of the population. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1167935/racial-diversity-nfl-players/#:~:text=Players in the NFL in 2022%2C by ethnicity&text=In 2022%2C the greatest share,of players within the NFL. 56 percent Players in the NFL in 2022, by ethnicity In 2022, the greatest share of players by ethnic group in the National Football League (NFL) were black or African American athletes, constituting just over 56 percent of players within the NFL. -

They were cutting edge as far as UK alternative rock and indie rock bands of the early 80s were concerned. They were the darlings of US college radio stations and alt rock stations like KROQ in L.A. but never found an audience on this side of the pond. From Wiki: Legacy[edit] The Smiths have been widely influential. Ian Youngs of BBC News described them as "the band that inspired deeper devotion than any British group since the Beatles".[135] Marr's guitar playing "was a huge building block for more Manchester legends that followed the Smiths", including the Stone Roses, whose guitarist John Squire said Marr was an influence.[136] The Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher also cites the Smiths as an influence, especially Marr. Gallagher said that "when the Jam split, the Smiths started, and I totally went for them."[137] The singer Davey Havok of AFI cites the Smiths as an influence.[138] The Smiths were an early influence on Radiohead,[139] and in 2001 Marr said Radiohead were the act that had "come closest to the genuine influence of the Smiths".[140] [...] Rolling Stone included four Smiths albums on its 2012 list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time",[54] and included "William, It Was Really Nothing" and "How Soon Is Now?" on its 2004 list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time".[146] Morrissey is included in its 2010 list of the greatest singers.[147] In 2014 and 2015, the Smiths were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.[148][149] -

Texas continues adding razor wire along border

Probably a waste of money considering how much was spent on the few miles Trump actually did complete. Plus past studies have shown that Visa overstays exceed illegal border crossings (from 2019): https://www.npr.org/2019/01/16/686056668/for-seventh-consecutive-year-visa-overstays-exceeded-illegal-border-crossings For 7th Consecutive Year, Visa Overstays Exceeded Illegal Border Crossings As the Trump administration demands funding for a border wall to stop illegal immigration, a new study finds that for the seventh consecutive year, visa overstays far exceeded unauthorized border crossings. The report released Wednesday by the Center for Migration Studies of New York finds that from 2016-2017, people who overstayed their visas accounted for 62 percent of the newly undocumented, while 38 percent had crossed a border illegally. "It is clear from our research that persons who overstay their visas add to the US undocumented population at a higher rate than border crossers. This is not a blip, but a trend which has become the norm," said Donald Kerwin, CMS' executive director, in a statement. "As these numbers indicate, construction of hundreds of more miles of border wall would not address the challenge of irregular migration into our country, far from it." -
