Jurors are always focused on the defendant's demeanor in court. Defense attorneys caution their clients that the jury is always watching them and school them as to how to act or not to act as it may ultimately influence the verdict. -

At your criminal trial? Okie Dokie, but that does not make a good impression on the jury that you are taking the proceedings seriously. -

A folding knife can not be used as a weapon? Try to bring in a courthouse and see what happens. -

They were not armed with guns but they had weapons (clubs, sticks, bear spray, flag poles, etc.) which we have documented numerous times in this thread, including Ashli Babbitt who was carrying a weapon in the form of a folding knife. -

No, it means that they would proceed with the trial with him not being physically present in the courtroom. However, he would still be viewing on the trial in another room on a TV monitor, so they would not be proceeding without him knowing what was happening. -

https://twitter.com/KatiePhang/status/1779954563920912711 Judge Merchan asks the pool of 96 prospective jurors if they self-identify to be excused b/c they cannot be fair and impartial. Per the pool: Of those 96, about 50 raised their hands and then were excused. The judge then instructed 18 of the remaining jurors to be seated inside the jury box. The third juror questioned said "Yes" to Question 34: “Do you have any strong opinions or firmly held beliefs about former president Donald Trump, or the fact that he is a current candidate for president that would interfere with your ability to be a fair and impartial juror?” Merchan sought to excuse her on that basis, to which the prosecution office agreed, but then Trump’s defense team objected. After a brief sidebar, she was excused. -
