Aaron Rodgers: great quarterback, conspiracy minded idiot.

We all should as it may be harmful to those taking it for treatment or prevention of Covid. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivermectin During the COVID-19 pandemic, misinformation has been widely spread claiming that ivermectin is beneficial for treating and preventing COVID-19.[20][21] Such claims are not backed by credible scientific evidence.[22][23][24] Multiple major health organizations, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,[25] the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,[26] the European Medicines Agency,[27] and the World Health Organization have stated that ivermectin is not authorized or approved to treat COVID-19.[23][28]

Not about Ivermectin, which he still promoting (and there is no peer-reviewed study where Ivermectin has been shown to be effective against Covid).

20 minutes after breaking a window (probably to gain entry). https://www.unionleader.com/news/crime/hudson-woman-gets-11-months-in-prison-for-role-in-jan-6-riot/article_c7bdbf68-70d7-5a31-87ba-006356b9af24.html The FBI claimed Niemela told her former friend she was a member of the Proud Boys and was in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021. She showed a video of her breaking a window in the Capitol building to the friend, the FBI said.

As noted earlier in this thread. Video was misleading and no context given. From Wiki "Video footage presented by Tucker Carlson on Fox News in March 2023 depicted Chansley walking through the Capitol building in the company of police officers who appeared to make no visible effort to stop him. Carlson, who was given exclusive access to the security footage by a top congressional Republican, characterized the officers as "tour guides" for Chansley and noted that none of the officers arrested him.[43] U.S. Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger denounced Carlson's segment, calling the show "filled with offensive and misleading conclusions." Manger specifically took issue with Carlson's claim that Capitol Police officers acted as "tour guides" for Chansley. He maintained that Capitol Police officers were badly outnumbered and did their best to use de-escalation tactics to try to talk rioters into leaving the building." [...] No reason was given for his release 14 months early, but I believe some others who were convicted also did not have to serve the entire time they were sentenced to.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob_Chansley During the January 6 United States Capitol attack, Chansley entered the Senate floor in the Capitol wearing his "shamanic" attire,[12][35] including a bison-horned fur headdress and war paint in red, white and blue, carrying a six-foot-high (1.8 m) spear with an American flag tied below the spear head.[40] He was also photographed standing on the raised platform in front of Vice President Mike Pence's chair, gaining him significant media attention. Chansley was arrested and brought up on U.S. federal charges of "knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds", on January 9. [...] In a January 14 court filing, federal prosecutors said that Chansley had left a note on Pence's desk in the Senate chamber that said "It's only a matter of time, justice is coming.

I would add, my understanding is that those who are still incarcerated for non-violent crimes and have not yet been tried, have other issues going on, like being a flight risk based on their background and/or criminal history or not complying with their terms of their release pending trial, etc.

Jack Smith will prove in court that Trump did more than nothing on Jan 6.

    Trump INDICTED

And it was a GOP controlled Senate, so they probably wouldn't have done so anyway.

That name dropping a university or some connection with academia by itself means nothing.

He was forced to reach a settlement as a result of the lawsuit. He wouldn't have done so otherwise. He didn't settle on his own before the suit was filed or after it was threatened. Settling the suit was compelling a payment which I am sure he did not voluntarily or happily give.

The restitution was a settlement as a result of the lawsuit. I didn't say it was court ordered. Reading is fundamental.

He made restitution only as a result of a lawsuit by the students who were defrauded. He didn't refund any money voluntarily because he felt it was the right thing to do.

    And Trump opened a university.
  15. After the guy who did the home invasion (caught on tape) woke him up in bed and marched him downstairs to meet the police when they arrived. You honestly think they were sharing cocktails together until he could break Nancy's knees with the hammer? (As he testified was his intent). In his statement to police, he admitted he didn't know Paul Pelosi and had never met him. You are a mean individual.

It was and I specified that responding to your earlier post, as I was sure they could find a quote of somebody somewhere in the world who had said this.

Nobody, not one person was locked up for protesting an election. These people committed criminal acts and were charged for that. Just to review: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criminal_proceedings_in_the_January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack#:~:text=Of those that went to,were acquitted of all charges. As of October 13, 2021, more than 100 defendants—of the over 630 individuals charged thus far—had entered guilty pleas.[36] By the end of July 2023, 629 defendants had pleaded guilty, and 129 others went to trial. Of those that went to trial, 87 defendants were convicted of all charges, 40 defendants received mixed verdicts (convicted of at least one charge, and acquitted or a hung jury on at least one charge), and two were acquitted of all charges.[37] Hundreds were still awaiting trial or sentencing.[38]

No one would ever be that stupid to say that blacks can't be racist, but that meme keeps getting repeated.

It is kind of an urban legend in this forum. People swear somebody said it but never provide the source, a quote or a link to the quote when asked.
  21. Yes, but that was a gaffe as he didn't know the guy he asked was disabled. He didn't deliberately mock or ridicule him. That is different from Trump knowing about McCain's POW injury that left him unable to lift his arm and then making that remark.
  22. Yeah, we're hung up over the need to get over mass shootings. We're funny that way.
