  1. From Harvard Law Professor Lawrence Tribe: https://twitter.com/tribelaw/status/1780948221914722729 “Sanity prevailed in the Senate on Wednesday. The Democratic majority was able to dismiss the articles of impeachment against Secretary Mayorkas within hours. Although a pretrial dismissal on constitutional grounds is unprecedented, Senate Rules of Procedure and Practice (XVI and XXI) recognize the right of the parties to file pretrial motions and objections. Mitch McConnell (along with forty-four GOP colleagues) voted in favor of an unsuccessful motion to dismiss the articles of impeachment against Donald Trump in 2021.” https://open.substack.com/pub/roberthubbell/p/sanity-prevails-in-the-senate?r=1ndny
  2. The logistics are such that there is no prison facility that could handle Trump and his Secret Service detail. Ain't gonna happen. And no warden would agree to taking on that responsibility. So yes, it would have to be some sort of house arrest with an ankle bracelet and no internet access (I would like to see them enforce that ).

  9. And you would intentionally fall asleep at your criminal trial? I don't believe that.
  10. Jurors are always focused on the defendant's demeanor in court. Defense attorneys caution their clients that the jury is always watching them and school them as to how to act or not to act as it may ultimately influence the verdict.
  11. At your criminal trial? Okie Dokie, but that does not make a good impression on the jury that you are taking the proceedings seriously.
  12. Someone claimed on Twitter that he didn't but I have not been able to verify that.
  13. "Imagine committing so many crimes that you get bored at your own trial"
