We are not just talking elementary schools. In fact, very few of the books that have been banned were even available to elementary school kids in the first place (and those that were, were rather innocuous like the one about two male penguins who raise an orphan baby penguin). They want the books banned at the High School level, so that kids can't access or read the books at all if they want to (which were not even part of any required classroom curriculum, from what I've seen).
