JFC. They are fact checkers. If you think their fact checking is inaccurate, then prove it with links to some of your own (which I am sure you can't do). I never thought I would live to see the day where someone would tell me "You put too much faith in the facts" - seriously what can I go but the actual facts?

[** Official President Joe Biden Thread **]
squistion replied to Rusty Syringes's topic in The Geek Club
So being subjected to stress and physical trauma can't bring on a stroke? Okie Dokie Pokie, if you say so. -
If he really brought them in and I haven't seen any proof of that. From the AP who you may not believe either: https://apnews.com/article/fact-check-trump-order-national-guard-156055113284 Trump did not sign an order to deploy 20,000 troops on Jan. 6 CLAIM: Former President Donald Trump signed an order to deploy 20,000 National Guard troops before his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, but was stopped by the House sergeant at arms, at the behest of Speaker Nancy Pelosi. AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. While Trump was involved in discussions in the days prior to Jan. 6 about the National Guard response, he issued no such order before or during the rioting. Speaker Pelosi does not control National Guard troops.

I don't think she was offered it as Trump claimed. He has lied hundreds of times about anything and everything, which makes the validity of his claim that Pelosi was told of this rather dubious.

Mass Shooting at Perry Iowa H.S., Multiple injuries. Suspect identified. No further danger to public.

Probably to prevent the relatives of the victims of being subjected to any more grief. Or perhaps not to stir up any more hatred (like against trans folks if this thread is any indication). -
You don't believe a fact checking site? SMH.

Social media sites of shooters are often taken down following a mass shooting. -
That has been debunked. https://thedispatch.com/article/fact-check-did-pelosi-reject-trumps-request-for-national-guard-troops-on-january-6/ Fact Check: Did Pelosi Reject Trump’s Request for National Guard Troops on January 6? A viral Instagram post from Donald Trump Jr. claims that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused Donald Trump’s “request for a national guard presence” during the January 6 Capitol insurrection. This isn’t the first time this particular claim has gone viral. In February 2021, as reported by the Washington Post, during a Fox news interview with Steve Hilton, President Donald Trump claimed that he “requested” 10,000 National Guard troops to be deployed to the Capitol, but that his request was rejected by Pelosi. In Trump’s words: “I requested … I definitely gave the number of 10,000 National Guardsmen, and [said] I think you should have 10,000 of the National Guard ready. They took that number. From what I understand, they gave it to the people at the Capitol, which is controlled by Pelosi. And I heard they rejected it because they didn’t think it would look good. So, you know, that was a big mistake.” The claim that Pelosi rejected Trump’s request for a National Guard presence on January 6 is false. “The speaker of the House does not have the power to block an order from the commander in chief,” Drew Hammil, deputy chief of staff for Pelosi, told The Dispatch Fact Check via email. “This is fiction.” Josh Huder, a senior fellow at Georgetown University’s Government Affairs Institute, similarly told The Dispatch Fact Check that “the speaker does not have control of any branch of the armed services.” “The National Guard can only be activated by the president or a governor,” Huder added. “In the case of D.C., it can only be mobilized by the president of the United States.”

Yes, but keep that in context. The crowd had already broken in, they police were outnumbered, and it would have served no useful purpose to antagonize them. They were trying to deescalate the situation.
-
Yes, following the crowd that stormed the Capitol and broke in.
-
Wrong. It had to be stopped. It was the officer's duty to protect the legislators and if all those in the mob followed Babbitt into the chamber the police would have been overwhelmed and the legislators attacked and killed. That was why no charges were brought against the officer.
-
That didn't happen. https://www.factcheck.org/2021/05/video-doesnt-prove-capitol-police-allowed-jan-6-protesters-to-enter-capitol/ Video Doesn’t Prove Capitol Police Allowed Jan. 6 Protesters to Enter Capitol Quick Take More than 400 people have been charged in relation to the Jan. 6 events at the U.S. Capitol, and there is ample evidence that many protesters defied and assaulted Capitol Police officers that day. Yet viral social media posts are falsely claiming a video clip proves that “Capitol Police gave protesters OK” to enter the building. The video clip does not depict that.
-
Still no denial by you that this mob attacked officers with flag poles, clubs, crutches, hammers, bear spray and other objects (And there is plenty of video and photo evidence to prove it).
-
I see you didn't attempt to deny they attacked officers with flag poles, clubs, crutches, hammers, bear spray and other objects (because the video and photo evidence exists) Here is the video of those tourists speaking through some windows they peacefully broke open.
-
That is a complete lie. They had flag poles, clubs, crutches, hammers, bear spray and other objects that they attacked LEOs with and there are tons of photos and videos showing this happening.
-
Where are the selfies of them attacking police officers with crutches, flag poles, hammers, bear spray and whatever else they could get their hands on? Oh wait, they couldn't do those things and take photos of themselves too. But there are plenty of photos of the brutal attacks on LEOs that prove this wasn't just a selfie fest as you claim.
-
And if he is elected again he will never leave office voluntarily and will be President for life. When he says he will be dictator on Day 1, people should believe him.
-
Yeah, it was initially called a riot but the narrative changed when it came out that it was organized and planned beforehand with idea of preventing the peaceful transfer of power from Trump to Biden (aka as an attempted coup or an insurrection).

Who Doesn't Remember This Song & Not Like It ?
squistion replied to BeenHereBefore's topic in The Geek Club
No, I don't remember ever hearing it and don't think I missed that much. Whatever. As the song goes "Different strokes for different folks" -
Yeah, he keeps posting this irrelevant footage as a deflection.

🇺🇸Father Trump Talk-🚨The Official Thread of MAGA🚨 Schumer Got Schlonged

Under "For You" or under "Trending"? I don't see it currently under "Trending" but I have things in my "For You" that seem to be specifically tailored for me based on my tweets, what I like and who I follow. -
I don't know what's with wrong him. Seriously. I used to think it was schtick, but I think jonmx honestly believes this stuff, which falls into "sick puppy" territory. Having these out of left field conspiracy theory views and paranoid rants I can at least understand, but not when he completely ignores video footage that proves him wrong (as we can see here with Babbitt).
-
That is not what the videos show (see the one I posted above).
-
If they had broken through and gotten into the chamber they would have probably killed any legislator they got their hands on (there is testimony to that effect you keep ignoring). The officer who shot Babbit was stopping what appeared to him to be a lethal threat to the legislators, that was his job which is why he was exonerated by everyone who has investigated this. You apparently expected him to wait until Pence, Pelosi and AOL were physically being attacked before trying to stop this.
-
No, Straw Man, but the idiot was warned by people in the crowd and you can see in other videos that he is pointing his gun at the broken window she is going to attempt to crawl through. This is the textbook example of, "Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes."
