And to my understanding, the judge was literally following what the sentencing guidelines for a minor suggest.

The thread about the racist young Republicans praising Hitler, etc., on a social media site also disappeared.

Maybe Mike Johnson was out of the country, or has serious memory issues.

MOSTLY PEACEFUL riot erupts in Chicago after ICE vehicle gets rammed
squistion replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
He never can, he did that before with the ICE protests in L.A. He kept claiming he was viewing fires, looting, rioting ,etc., but wouldn't provide any link to prove it. Same thing here I'm sure. He is making it all up, the link does not exist. -

How can they keep saying these folks were non violent when there are numerous videos and photos of them attacking Capitol Police officers with a variety of weapons? -
AMPHIFA: Amphibians Against Fascism

Exactly, as if berating a Capitol Police officer is the same as bashing them with a club, flagpole, fire extinguisher or using bear spray.

Was he out of the country when the Jan 6 insurrection or riot happened?

The bolded is the crux of these protests/marches. Trump said he was going to be a dictator just on day one, but he has acted like one every day after that and it keeps getting worse. -

No I didn't win in any of those contests, however, I finished second one year to Eminence (I think, can't remember exactly). The guy who went by Doctor Detroit at FBGs wanted a revote because he thought I deserved it more and lobbied for that, but it didn't happen. -

Fun Fact: Jack Smith was appointed Special Counsel after classified documents were removed from Mar-a-Lago during an FBI search. -
Like that has ever stopped him. And I think you meant "shutting down" - but on second thought maybe that wasn't a typo.

Marco Rubio supports Trump's plan to round up migrants and send them to detention camps

A plan he had opposed in 2016. MTP video clip at link. https://x.com/atrupar/status/1792198075546566703 "We're gonna have to do something dramatic" -- Marco Rubio on Meet the Press says he supports Trump's plan to round up migrants and send them to detention camps. Kristen Welker then plays tape of Rubio saying in 2016 that he doesn't support Trump's plan to round up migrants. -

Florida teachers can discuss sexual orientation and gender ID under ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill settlement

They can say "gay" again! https://apnews.com/article/florida-dont-say-gay-bill-settlement-987904b3e19122d719cf468034746b6e Florida teachers can discuss sexual orientation and gender ID under ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill settlement ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Students and teachers can discuss sexual orientation and gender identity in Florida classrooms, provided it’s not part of instruction, under a settlement reached Monday between Florida education officials and civil rights attorneys who had challenged a state law which critics dubbed “Don’t Say Gay.” The settlement clarifies what is allowed in Florida classrooms following passage two years ago of the law prohibiting instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in early grades. Opponents said the law had created confusion about whether teachers could identity themselves as LGBTQ+ or if they even could have rainbow stickers in classrooms. Other states used the Florida law as a template to pass prohibitions on classroom instruction on gender identity or sexual orientation. Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky and North Carolina are among the states with versions of the law. Under the terms of the settlement, the Florida Board of Education will send instructions to every school district saying the Florida law doesn’t prohibit discussing LGBTQ+ people, nor prevent anti-bullying rules on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity or disallow Gay-Straight Alliance groups. The settlement also spells out that the law is neutral — meaning what applies to LGBTQ+ people also applies to heterosexual people — and that it doesn’t apply to library books not being used for instruction in the classroom. The law also doesn’t apply to books with incidental references to LGBTQ+ characters or same-sex couples, “as they are not instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity any more than a math problem asking students to add bushels of apples is instruction on apple farming,” according to the settlement. “What this settlement does, is, it re-establishes the fundamental principal, that I hope all Americans agree with, which is every kid in this country is entitled to an education at a public school where they feel safe, their dignity is respected and where their families and parents are welcomed,” Roberta Kaplan, the lead attorney for the plaintiffs, said in an interview. “This shouldn’t be a controversial thing.” -
Trump thinks Communism has been around for "thousands of years." Karl Marx would like a word. AI Overview On September 29, 2025, during a press conference and in posts on social media, President Donald Trump stated that "communist policies" have proven "for thousands of years" that they do not work. The remarks were made in reference to New York City Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani.

https://www.alternet.org/jack-smith-trump-investigation/ 'Nothing like it has ever happened': Jack Smith rips DOJ’s politicization under Trump Former special counsel Jack Smith has, for the first time, publicly defended the investigation he led into President Donald Trump, calling it “ludicrous” to suggest the work was politically motivated. He also criticized the current Department of Justice's actions. “I worked in the department for years — Republican, Democrat, Republican. I was the acting U.S. attorney in the first Trump administration in Tennessee. Nothing like what we see now has ever gone on. This case in New York City, where the case against [NY Mayor Eric Adams] was dismissed in the hopes that he would support the president’s political agenda. I mean, just so you know, nothing like it has ever happened that I’ve ever heard of,” he said. Smith made these remarks on October 8 during a panel discussion at University College London. They gained renewed attention Tuesday after being highlighted on MSNBC. Meanwhile, Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee asked Smith Tuesday to sit for a hearing as part of a broader GOP push against Trump’s perceived opponents. In a Tuesday letter, Rep. Jim Jordan (R‑OH) accused Smith’s Trump prosecutions of being “partisan and politically motivated.” His scrutiny deepened after reports that Smith’s team requested FBI analysis of the phone records of several Republican lawmakers during the Jan. 6 insurrection. Smith, serving as special counsel, had indicted Trump on two fronts in 2023: one alleging efforts to overturn the 2020 election, and another accusing improper retention of classified documents at Mar‑a‑Lago.
