For anyone perceived as Latino by an ICE agent, this means living in a fearful ‘papers please’ regime, with risks of violent ICE arrests and detention.

They are racially profiling. The SCOTUS ruling explicitly permits ICE to use "looking Latino" & "working a low-wage job" as reasons for detention (if that isn't profiling, I don't know what is).

It is in the thread or threads where it was discussed. No point in looking for it because the usual suspects just repeat the same thing at a later date (like in this thread) after it has been pointed out the numbers don't actually say what they claim they do.

We seen this multple times in this forum. Their source is government stats (DOJ? FBI?) from some year where the numbers they cite about Black crime was misread or misinterpreted and doesn't really say that Blacks or Black men commit the percentage of violent crimes that is being claimed here.

Yes, indeed, Blacks folks who are unemployed can enter the workforce by replacing migrant workers picking crops in the field, cleaning toilets in hotels and busing tables at restaurants and all for a minimum wage - I am sure that they will be standing in line for these jobs that undocumented Latinos no longer do.
