  1. https://twitter.com/SpeakerPelosi/status/1936622439557198028 Nancy Pelosi @SpeakerPelosi Tonight, the President ignored the Constitution by unilaterally engaging our military without Congressional authorization. I join my colleagues in demanding answers from the Administration on this operation which endangers American lives and risks further escalation and dangerous destabilization of the region.

  4. That is one of things that people voted for him were promised and they expected...along with bringing down the price of groceries, and deporting the real criminal illegals first (not migrant workers in fields or day laborers in Home Depot parking lots). Has he kept any of his campaign promises?

"President Trump misled the country about his intentions, failed to seek congressional authorization for the use of military force and risks American entanglement in a potentially disastrous war in the Middle East."

  7. Alex Padilla explains what happened at the DHS news conference yesterday. He notes that he had been accompanied where the news conference was held by both a member of the National Guard and an FBI agent. Also that he identified himself as a US Senator and attempted to ask just one question before being forcibly dragged out of the room.

    Happy Juneteenth everyone

https://x.com/search?q=Juneteenth&src=trend_click&vertical=trends (video at link) JUNETEENTH in Harlem. This is what America is about. Perhaps the most American holiday of all, Juneteenth honors the very best of what this country can be. It’s a celebration of the courage to fight for freedom, even when the cost is steep. It’s sad that the president gets angry over this.

Two Dem lawmakers shot, one dead in MN

From Google: Boelter's Claims Against Walz: Allegations of Political Assassination Plot Vance Boelter, accused in a recent shooting incident in Minnesota, has claimed in a letter to the FBI that Governor Tim Walz instructed him to assassinate Senator Amy Klobuchar. The letter, described as rambling and conspiratorial, includes allegations of being trained 'off the books' by the U.S. military. While these allegations are under review, the situation has sparked calls for a thorough investigation into the claims against Walz.
  13. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/04/14/trump-harvard-deal-funding-billion-dei.html Harvard has $2.2 billion in grants frozen by Trump administration after rejecting demands The Trump administration on Monday night said it was freezing $2.2 billion in grants to Harvard University over concerns about antisemitism on campus and other issues. The freeze was announced hours after Harvard flatly rejected demands by the Trump administration to eliminate its DEI programs and screen international students for ideological concerns, including antisemitism, putting nearly $9 billion in federal funding for the university at risk. “No government — regardless of which party is in power — should dictate what private universities can teach, whom they can admit and hire, and which areas of study and inquiry they can pursue,” Harvard President Alan Garber wrote in a note to the university community detailing his reasons for not complying with the demands. “Although some of the demands outlined by the government are aimed at combating antisemitism, the majority represent direct governmental regulation of the ‘intellectual conditions’ at Harvard,” Garber said. The U.S. General Services Administration and Department of Education responded with a statement detailing the freeze of $2.2 billion in multi-year grants and $60 million in multi-year contract value to Harvard. “Harvard’s statement today reinforces the troubling entitlement mindset that is endemic in our nation’s most prestigious universities and colleges – that federal investment does not come with the responsibility to uphold civil rights laws,” the federal agencies said. “The disruption of learning that has plagued campuses in recent years is unacceptable. The harassment of Jewish students is intolerable,” the agencies said. “It is time for elite universities to take the problem seriously and commit to meaningful change if they wish to continue receiving taxpayer support.” [...]
