I don't know why Kavanaugh is being mentioned in the Kilmar Garcia thread. These situations are not really analagous. Christine Blasey Ford testified under oath at the televised Senate Kavanaugh hearings, and repeated the accusations that she had been sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh. We were all able to listen to her testimony and judge her credibility. That was then and this is now. It won't win out in the end if Trump is able to end Democracy in this country as we know it, and that keeps looking more and more likely to me. After the SCOTUS ruling this week, Trump looks like he is planning to end birthright citizenship and once people born here are deported to some foreign country they have never seen and have no connection to, there is no reason to believe he will stop there...and who knows what group will be the next targets.

Exactly. I was obviously referring to the charges for abuse (and that should be obvious in the context of what I said). I have never asserted that the domestic abuse "definitely didn't happen" (I have no opinion on the matter, maybe it did, maybe it didn't) but I do know that charges were never filed.

No problem as long as "the gays" have no visability. And I see some here are fantasizing that Trump can or should eliminate "Pride Month" and make it just for one day in dead of winter. The problem is that Trump (unlike other Presidents going back to Clinton) has never issued any official proclamations recognizing Pride Month (not during his first term as POTUS and not for 2025). So he can't really take away or eliminate something that he hasn't acknowledged ever existed. And if even if he did, Pride Parades and events would still be celebrated in the same towns and cities they have been for decades (nothing would really change).
