That is a fundamental part of our Constitution that some people here keep ignoring. The Founding Fathers did not believe that the right to due process under the law should be selective and apply only to those who we like or agree with. SCOTUS affirmed that in a 9-0 ruling that Trump is ignoring.

I knew those numbers he cited had to be wrong, but didn't have time to look it up. I would have thought more than 6 out of 10 opposed deportation without due process (but perhaps they don't really understand the potential consequences, which might actually be upon them).

The first part is a slippery slope we could be going down (looking at the worst case scenario) after starting with the least desirable among us. The second part is analogizing what Trump said that he would do to what he is actually doing.

It was not some devious plan on the part of Joe Biden to get more Democratic voters as you seem to think.
