VIOLENCE is a Feature of the Left, not an Exception
squistion replied to EternalShinyAndChrome's topic in The Geek Club
For the most part it wasn't. And I don't believe that the "No Kings" marches should be on this list either, so far I haven't seen any acts of violence at the protests today (that may change, but I doubt it). -
"No Kings" Day 2.0. Revised estimate 5.5 million, with an upper bound of 8.7 million.

So far so good: -
Exactly. It is very easy to jump to the wrong conclusion in situations like this (2+2 sometimes = 5). That was why earlier in the thread I just reported what had been confirmed and tried to avoid attribution any blame. And we still don't know that much as far as the shooter's motives are concerned. Yes, he was appointed by Walz but the board he was appointed to was bipartisan. Yes, he had "No Kings" flyers in his car but we don't know why he did. His assassination target list was all prominent Democrats but was it for party affiliation or their anti-Abortion position? Many questions still to be answered.

Some more info on the shooter: https://www.thedailybeast.com/who-is-the-minnesota-democratic-assassin-and-what-do-we-know-about-him/ Dem Assassin Is Armed Guard Boss With Anti-Abortion Hit-List The man suspected of killing a top Minnesota state lawmaker has been identified as Vance Luther Boelter, law enforcement sources told the Associated Press. The suspect, presumed to be Boelter, left behind a target list with more than 70 names, including top Minnesota Democrats like Walz, Rep. Ilhan Omar, and abortion providers and advocates, according to CNN and ABC News. [...] The target list, whose existence was confirmed by law enforcement earlier on Saturday, contained the names of many top Minnesota Democrats, including Walz, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Sen. Tina Smith, and Attorney General Keith Ellison, law enforcement sources told ABC. The item was recovered from the suspect’s car after he fled a shootout with police, Brooklyn Park police chief Mark Bruley said during a press conference. Bruley said that the target list featured the names of “many lawmakers and other officials,” including the two who were shot, but did not go into further specifics.

At this point we don't know that was why she was killed, that is just speculation until we get more information on the shooter and see his manifesto.

https://twitter.com/RatioedPost/status/1933934483591373179 The alleged shooter, identified as Vance Boelter, is accused of targeting Minnesota Rep Melissa Hortman and Sen. John Hoffman in what authorities describe as a “politically motivated” attack. The Minnesota State Patrol reported finding “No Kings” flyers in the suspect’s vehicle, along with a manifesto left behind by the individual. Boelter was appointed by Governor Tim Walz to a state workforce board in 2019.

If he did, he never said anything in this forum about it at the time.

It is unconfirmed, but I have been seeing multiple reports that the man who kiIIed Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman this morning had “NO KINGS” fliers in his car.

I have him on ignore, but saw this appalling and tasteless comment because someone quoted him.

L.A. ICE thread: US Marshal and an undocumented immigrant were shot in an L.A. immigration raid
squistion replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
From someone who lives in L.A. I can tell you there never were any riots, so there couldn't still be some. And the looting was confined to a two block area in Downtown L.A. and ended when Bass issued a curfew on the Downtown area. -
