Is this what FBGs was like?

Joe is very thin-skinned and doesn't tolerate anyone arguing with him even if he is dead wrong, and if you tried to continue a discussion with him to set the record straight he would suspend you (which I once got a one month time-off for). In some respects I'm not sorry the PSF was shut down and I don't know if I would want to deal the arbitrary and inconsistent actions of the mods again if it was reopened.

Is this what FBGs was like?

No it didn't. Joe never told you not to be so omnipresent, lol. Just like Joe never told me to stop posting tweets (although that lie is still being repeated). Now, Joe did ask me to cut back on the volume and post less tweets, but he never asked me to stop entirely. probably because he was posting tweets himself on a daily basis.
  3. Of course he doesn't care about the troops at all, nor do the MAGA folks here or if they did, then at least one of them would have complained about it his golf vacation.

    Fox News removes stock-market ticker

Not unless there is some other component to it that makes its news out of ordinary or unusual.
  5. I don't think I can ever remember both Ben Shapiro and Rand Paul agreeing with me on any issue, but if they are siding with Trump critics on the tariffs, then they should be believed.
  6. Oh my...this from Ben Shapiro: https://x.com/stillgray/status/1908142194827067592 (video clip at link) Ben Shapiro calls Trump’s tariffs the largest tax increase on Americans in history that will decimate the economy, and one that stems from a complete misunderstanding of how international trade works and a misunderstanding of trade deficits. Shapiro notes that the only time in history that the US had a trade surplus was during the Great Depression.
  7. You can't make this stuff up. https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/trump-tariffs-news-04-04-25#cm92rdy6x001t3b6nae24va1e Trump says China "played it wrong, they panicked" in response to his tariffs
  8. Not in this case for me. I was warning this was going to happen but it was dismissed as liberal hysteria.
  9. You didn't take him that seriously either, Tim. You had this "wait and see" and "let's hope for the best" attitude saying things like "we survived the first Trump term and we will this one too". I kept saying "believe him, he will do what he says" and "see Project 2025" but that is little consolation now as we are moving increasingly towards a dictatorship while Trump drives the economy off a cliff.
  10. https://x.com/krassenstein/status/1908109738857877572 China just announced a 34% tariff on U.S. goods. To the MAGA farmers growing soybeans, corn, wheat… and those producing beef, pork, and dairy: I warned you. To the MAGA voters working in or invested in semiconductors, autos, aircraft, oil, or natural gas: I warned you too. Trump doesn’t care about your bottom line. He’s playing politics—you’re paying the price.

    Will there be riots?

    None that I can remember.
  12. No, this is not from a parody site. https://x.com/atrupar/status/1894512583572373738 (video clip of Trump at link) Trump: "We're gonna be selling a gold card. You have a green card, this is a gold card. We're gonna put a price on that card of about $5 million and that's going to give you green card privileges, plus. It's gonna be a route to citizenship, and wealthy people will be coming into our country."
  13. One would think that would have to be a disincentive.
  14. https://x.com/kylegriffin1/status/1907843234908274885 Trump's tariffs will translate into a 2.3 percentage point increase to overall inflation this year, according to new estimates from the Yale Budget Lab — or about a $3,800 impact for the average household.

    Trump Fact Checking Thread

https://x.com/ddale8/status/1907836197549826525 Trump’s tariff speech yesterday: - Held up a chart that listed fictional tariff rates supposedly but not actually imposed by foreign countries - Falsely said hefty Canadian milk tariffs kick in after after the first “little carton” of US exports; in fact, they kick in after a USMCA-guaranteed tens of thousands of metric tons per year of zero-tariff US milk exports, a quota the US isn’t currently close to filling - Made the trade deficit with Canada sound more than five times higher than it is - Falsely said the tens of billions generated by his previous tariffs on Chinese imports were paid by China, though they were paid by US importers and passed on to US consumers - Falsely said no previous president generated even 10 cents from tariffs on China, though it was billions per year under Obama and though the US has had tariffs on Chinese imports since the late 1700s - Falsely though vaguely said the US was “proportionately the wealthiest it has ever been” from 1789 to 1913; by any reasonable measure, the country is vastly wealthier today - Falsely said inflation under Biden was the highest in US history; it peaked under Biden at the highest in 40 years but was nowhere close to the all-time high even at that 2022 peak - Said “gasoline is way under $3” though the national average was $3.24; did so while boasting “we brought prices way down,” though that was a 12-cent increase from the national average on his Inauguration Day - Claimed the Great Depression wouldn’t have happened if we’d just stuck with tariffs, making no mention of the Smoot-Hawley tariffs that worsened the depression
  16. Not quite sure how this qualfies exactly as WINNING. But we're deporting more illegals so maybe they think that makes it all worth it.

    Will there be riots?

    No.
  18. No, liberals don't care about this, except the guy who filed the suit and he is doing for publicity purposes only.
  19. This man is clueless about US history and the actual impact of tariffs (as are many in this thread). https://x.com/AdamJSchwarz/status/1907532233121964386 (video clip at link) Trump claims the Great Depression "would never have happened" if the US continued tariffs. Not only did the US continue tariffs, it actually increased them, which worsened and prolonged the US and global depression. The Smoot-Hawley Act 1930 significantly reduced global trade.
  20. SMH Sad commentary on you, as protesting against Israel doesn't mean that one hates Jews or is an anti-Semite even though you think it does.
  21. So, you agree with the OP that Walz daughter is a "Jew hater"? Seriously?
  22. The OP says Walz daughter hates Jews because she participated in a student protest. If that isn't lazy logic I don't know what is. I would bet Walz daughter is not on record for ever having made an anti-semitic statement (and opposing the policies of Israel does not make one a "Jew hater" despite what the OP thinks).
  23. Nominee for non-sequitur of the year.
