https://x.com/SenAdamSchiff/status/1898196475621827007 Five things Donald Trump accomplished this week: 1. Promised more tax cuts for billionaires 2. Further abandoned our ally Ukraine 3. Flip-flopped on tariffs and tanked the stock market 4. Completely ignored skyrocketing prices 5. Went golfing Hope this helps, @elonmusk . -
https://x.com/ZelenskyyUa/status/1898307787542999432 Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський @ZelenskyyUa Last night, the Russian army struck the center of Dobropillya in the Donetsk region with two ballistic missiles. After our emergency services arrived at the scene, they launched another strike, deliberately targeting the rescuers. This is a vile and inhumane intimidation tactic often used by the Russians. Tragically, at this moment, 11 people are confirmed dead. My condolences to their families and loved ones. More than 30 people were injured, including 5 children. Eight five-story apartment buildings, an administrative facility, and a fire truck were damaged. I thank all the emergency services, police, SES personnel, and medics who, despite the threat of repeated strikes, remain undaunted and are saving people from this terror. To everyone who defends lives while risking their own. Such strikes show that Russia's objectives have not changed. Therefore, it is crucial to continue to do our best to protect lives, strengthen our air defenses, and increase sanctions against Russia. Everything that helps Putin finance the war must collapse.

What industry are you talking about?
-
Well, in theory the feds could...but the same $$ might not go directly the states, particularly under the Trump Administration, who might not give it to some states, like California (Trump could use withholding the funds as some sort of punishment/blackmail like he threatened to do after the fires, when he was first POTUS and then again with the most recent fires).

Um...why wouldn't liberals believe it, if funding to schools from the DOE has been documented (which I'm sure it has, unless what we have been told is some sort of fiction). So, ending the DOE would logically reduce funding to schools that the DOE provides, no?
-
So...are you saying that liberals believe that funding would be reduced and what they believe is true?
-
Well, if the DOE "provides federal funds and programs for schools at all levels" then if it were eliminated how would that not reduce funding?
-
Yes, there would be less if what I got from a Google search is accurate: The U.S. Department of Education is involved in school funding. It provides federal funds and programs for schools at all levels, from early childhood through postsecondary education. The department also oversees federal student aid and ensures that schools comply with federal laws.

No, but your omission of the authors names in your cut and paste and not providing the link suggests that (perhaps not intentional on your part). I haven't taken James Carville's rants seriously in the last decade (which is probably true of most Democrats and liberals IMO). He hasn't been relevant since the Clinton years.
-
Not that when there was no link provided and the three authors names were omitted. So explain what you meant by this. I said most people could figure it out, you said that wasn't true. What am I missing? What started this was that I was respondng to what you originally said: "no one would have been able to analyze the article as you." Which is not the same as saying most people could figure it out. "No one" is all inclusive and has a different meaning than "most people"
-
Dude, it is an opinion piece, the credibility of the authors is irrelevant as they are still just expressing their opinion and not an official NBC editorial position.
-
No, Strawman, that was not what I was saying. But carry on...
-
No, Strawman, I am not saying that.
-
Not that when there was no link provided and the three authors names were omitted.
-
It is, but one might think this was some sort of editorial by NBC and not just an opinion piece by the three writers (since there was no link provided and the authors names were omitted from the OP).
-
No, they wouldn't from the OP, which omits who wrote this, giving the impression it was the position of NBC News, not of the 3 journalists.
-
I couldn't find with a Google search using the thread title or the first sentence of the article. This is from January and looks like an opinion piece from the three writers.
-
This is from NBC News? Yeah, that's what the OP says, but there is no link and I can't find it in a Google search.

Or in the alternative, some MAGA folks who are NRA members (there would so many volunteers, you would probably have to hold a lottery to see who makes the squad). -
