That doesn't ignore the fact that Thomas' was chosen because he is Black. I am just pointing out that they aren't being consistent calling Jackson DEI but not Thomas.

If they want to be technical, Clarence Thomas was the first DEI Justice (although the term didn't exist then) as he was chosen to replace Thurgood Marshall apparently only because he was Black (his legal experience was limited).
