With this so-called Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, it is somehow fitting that Paul Rodgers' earlier and better band Free has not been inducted while Bad Company has been (It is true that Bad Company had some great songs and Free is considered on this side of the pond, a "one-hit wonder" but still I can't see how one could be inducted but not the other).

To my recollection I thought you did object to Obama not adhering to due process. Maybe with Biden too, but I am not certain of that. And I am pretty sure I had an issue with Obama using a drone to kill US born American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki (that thread still might exist if one of the usual suspects wants to take the time to find it, as they seem to love to do to try and prove me wrong.).

I am sure those numbers aren't true and notice that no link has been given to some actual proof that they are correct.

Joe Biden’s 577 vacation days over four-year term tops modern presidents

Trump as POTUS probably spent more time playing golf than Biden did taking vacations...just sayin' -
One would hope so. It is a very strange argument people are making that POTUS should be able to pick and choose to whom due process in the Constitution applies.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia Thread - Garcia may be deported to Liberia

Seems to be me you were saying that, your exact words from above: Cuba under Fidel didn’t allow parents to raise their kids. If they weren't allowed to raise their kids, then they would have to have been removed, no? -

That doesn't sound right to me. Don't have time to research it, but from an AI overview: Yes, generally, under Fidel Castro's rule, Cuban children were raised by their parents, although there were instances where families were separated, particularly due to political reasons or when parents emigrated. The Cuban government did not actively remove children from their families to raise them, as some rumors during Operation Pedro Pan suggested. However, there were cases where parents were separated from their children when they sought to leave the country, and the government denied them permission to rejoin their families. Here's a more detailed explanation: Parental Rights: The Cuban government, while socialist, did not inherently deny parents the right to raise their children. Operation Pedro Pan: This CIA-backed operation involved transporting unaccompanied children from Cuba to the United States, primarily from 1960 to 1962. While some parents did send their children to the US for safety and better opportunities, others were worried about the safety of their children in Cuba, and others may have been targeted by the regime due to their beliefs. Family Separations: There were instances where parents who emigrated were denied the right to have their children join them, leading to family separations. Deserters: Individuals who left Cuba without government permission were often denied the right for their families to join them, leading to prolonged separations. Rumors and Misinformation: During Operation Pedro Pan, rumors spread, particularly by the CIA, that the Castro regime was planning to remove children from their families for indoctrination. These rumors were largely unfounded, but they fueled fears in the US and among some Cuban citizens. -

No you couldn't have argued with me, as I didn't join the FFA until 2003 (3-4 years after the Elian matter was in the news) I honestly can't remember what I was saying at the time. I believe I felt that his "family" here was exploiting him for their own gain and returning him to his father seemed the right thing to do. In any event, I don't feel the Elian Gonzalez situation (which was a one-off outlier) is analogous to Trump deporting a 2 year old and breaking up families. -

The Seattle Pride Parade and all related events will still take place as usual this year. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/amid-dei-rollback-seattle-pride-events-see-corporate-sponsors-pull-back/?utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=owned_tweetdeck&utm_source=Twitter "While the shortfall will not result in changes to this year’s events, Hearn said, festivities in 2026 may look different if the funding gap is not filled. She said the organization is seeking individual donations and grants and will start hosting fundraising events regularly." -
