The first part is a slippery slope we could be going down (looking at the worst case scenario) after starting with the least desirable among us. The second part is analogizing what Trump said that he would do to what he is actually doing.

I am old enough to remember Trump saying that only illegal aliens who were criminals would be deported, which has morphed into deporting all immigrants who are not here legally, even if they have not committed any crime.
