Still pissed that Denver signed Travis Henry
Some Guy replied to Stalker711's topic in FFToday Board
All good points on both Henry and Bell. The real issue here.....the top fantasy RB for Denver in '07 might not even be one of these two guys. -
This is exactly why I see Curtis P. Enis finishing the year with TOP 3 RB numbers if someone picks him up!
-
Man if they lose Sharon their '07 season is over before it starts.

Eagles (allegedly) ink Kevin Curtis to a deal...
Some Guy replied to Mephisto's topic in FFToday Board
The Eagles also inked a one year deal with Bethel Johnson WR/KR. Curtis is also a pretty good KR. Sounds like to me they are trying to replace Reno Mahe's role as a KR/PR/RB to either release him or do something else with him???? Just a though. Eagles sign WR-KR Bethel Johnson Eagles sign WR-KR Bethel Johnson March 8, 2007 PHILADELPHIA (TICKER) -- The Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday signed wide receiver-kick returner Bethel Johnson to a one-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed. Johnson, 28, played in 11 games for Minnesota last season, catching nine passes for 156 yards. He also averaged 23.4 yards on 45 kickoff returns. ADVERTISEMENT In Philadelphia, Johnson could fill the role as the club's primary kickoff returner, a role held by Reno Mahe last season. -
This is tough, although you clearly need depth at RB since you have only two clear starters. I would be concerned with health when it comes to Westbrook - he's a guy I always pass on one round too long and usually kick myself for doing so. I would try to get a 2 for 1 with him. Maybe a young up and coming RB (with some risk) like Ronnie Brown or Carnell Williams and a low end starter.

I didn't leave Parker or Westbrook out on accident - yes, I expect them both to be ranked high going into next season, however each have issues: Westbrook - a great candidate for top 5, however, the question of injuries (true or not) usually drop him in pre-season. Parker - had a great year but with a new Head Coach, and a poor choice at that (my opinion) puts the entire team in a down mode. I could be wrong - just my opinion.

I like Maroney to be large this year. By the time the drafts roll around in mid-late August you can look for this guy to be projected somewhere in the 5-8 range for RB's with the upside to finish top 3. I'd say: 1. LT 2. St Jackson 3. LJ 4. Sh Alexander 5-8 ( in some form of order ) Addai, Maroney, Rudi, Gore.

I would have agreed with Brees having a pretty good year, but w/o Bush (depending on when Mr. Madden comes calling) it will cause his numbers to take a hit.

If the Patriots acquired Randy Moss......
Some Guy replied to FantasyBowl33's topic in FFToday Board
If Moss get's the right situation he will be a better than average WR. The right situation is a good to great team other than Oakland. Just look at his 2005 stats (first year in Oakland) where he played injured for a decent portion of the season: 2005 Oakland 16 60rec 1005yds 8TD's Those are legit #1 WR stats for most any team. Compare that to NE's top WR from last year: R. Caldwell 61 760 4 Case closed. -
If the NCAA finds the Bush received extra benefits,
Some Guy replied to ccb123's topic in FFToday Board
Yes, he needed the money to "Find Himself"...er...um. -
You make a strong case here for NE and Philly, but here's my prediction: Jacksonville vs New Orleans Don't ask me for a dissertation on why, I just think J'ville could be strong with the DEF leading the way and Drew, Taylor (if they keep him) and Greg Jones back healthy. If they can get a QB just to manage the offense they will be dangerous. NO will only continue to get better IMO. The offense is pretty well set, all they need to do is improve on the def through the draft and free agency. Just a hunch......now, BOMBS AWAY!

Niners Offer Turner Raise to Keep Him From Cowboys
Some Guy replied to IndyTom's topic in FFToday Board
Come on, everyone knows who Jimmy Jones is. He was the coach back when they had Michael Irwin, Emmitt Sanders, and Troy Ainsworth...you know, the "Tri-Pods". -
Please hold all excuses until the ride has come to a complete stop. I will agree now with all of the Michigan fans....this probably would have been a better game had they been given a second chance.

*** Official 'Bama Assistant Coaching Hiring Thread ***
Some Guy replied to Clash of the Titans's topic in FFToday Board
Take it to the "A Little Help" board. Lord knows you're gonna need it! -
"honour" - is this a French word? Take the dive, get the draft spot.
-
Would you mind playing in my money league next year? We're actually all full up right now, but I'm sure we can make room.
-
With 797 total yards and 9TD's over the last seven weeks - while splitting time all but one of those weeks, I would think that MJD makes a strong case for consideration in the top 5 - perhaps even top 3 if Fred Taylor is gone next year.

***THE official what do you need on MNF thread***
Some Guy replied to gatorbait7391's topic in FFToday Board
Two titles on the line: #1 - I'm down by 11 with Romo and Glenn......he has Mia Def - this should be close. #2 - I'm down by 16 with Romo, TO, and Coles....he has Westbrook, Whitten, and dal Def - I don't like my chances in this one. -
I'd go with: Vandy, Gould, or Wilkins.
-
The Jags are ahead of NE in total yards per game (slightly NE 13th, Jax 12th), and total defense (NE 6th, Jax 2nd). Plus, the Jags are pretty good at home. I'm not saying NE won't win, but I wouldn't get too excited just yet....I'd hate for you to ruin your Christmas before it even starts.

Yep, I played Fason...ugh...first round of playoffs against the LT team. Luckily for me, the rest of his team is so bad, I still slipped by with a win!! My options didn't do well either, as my only other options were Addai and Fargus. Anyway, this is just a crazy season. I know in the past you could make those sneaky one week plays - not anymore. It seems that more and more coaches are using the Denver approach to RB's - to keep their competition guessing......and we suffer.
-
This might be easier for all of us. With quite a few high risk / high reward, or just plain toss up options this week at RB, perhaps we should see predicted stats for each of these guys. Let's try to keep this going, it could be a big help this week. Here they are, and feel free to add more, and please add your projected stats for each: C Fason @ DET C Houston v BUF J Addai @ JAX C Benson @ STL J Fargas @ CIN M Moore @ DET Let's have it.
-
That's actually pretty darn funny!
-
I know I asked this already, but can't find it now: These all stink, but I need the best sleeper for the week: NYG Def at Car - QB questions in Car Cle Def at Pit - Was leaning this way, but Frye may be out. Ten Def at Hou - NO sacks in a few weeks, but Carr could play poorly again Jax Def vs Indy - my best D against an angry Colt team We do not SpTeam stats, just Ints, Fums, Sacks, TD's, Bl Kck, and pts allowed. Thanks

I am facing the exact same situation. I liked the Browns this week, but I have a feeling they will be on the field an awful lot with Fry out. I think you will see a lot of FWP, and It might get out of hand late. I'm actually leaning toward Ten Def at Hou. They are all gambles, and I'm betting Carr continues his poor play especially when the Texans are playing catch-up in the 4th qtr. Good Luck
