  1. Multiple posters are idiots then.

In fact, only 2 posters in this thread that have over 5,000 posts have even given an opinion. Me, and Jarvis, who recommended you rename yourself "ffdouchebag".

The fact that we think that, while your supporters are a bunch of guys that each have less than 100 total posts...well that should tell you all you need to know about the trade.

    Good god, you're a jackass.

  2. Agreed, you have to pay. To do otherwise, breaks the man code and requires you to be puched in the face in front of your entire family and have the money taken from your pockets.

On to the commish... Douche... No reason to veto at all... None. Zero. Zilch. I don't care who got a better deal... Noone knows, it's Week 1. Week 1. Go punch him in the face in front of his family as you drop the money on his bloody groaning body.

  3. Mendenhall hasn't been particularly durable and he's not even remotely as talented as Charles. I'd call it a wash because of their relative situations but Mendy > Charles is not a safe bet.

Greg Jennings is among the best wideouts in the game and he's on a prolific passing offense. Boldin is a lesser talent in a far worse situation. You are ridiculously overreacting to one week.

Only a moron trades away top caliber players after one week.

    hth

I agree with you. I just think the other guy is being the moron. That's what makes fantasy football so fun.

  4. Mendy might be slightly better than Charles, although I think that's mainly because he's "the guy" in Pittsburgh. Charles is IMO clearly the superior talent and if Haley isn't totally retarded he'll get the ball into his hands 20+ times per game. Jennings is clearly better than Boldin.

Why would you even consider making this deal after Week 1???

    Wuh? Huh?

Everything about Mendy's situation is far superior to Charles. Pitt's a better team, a solid running team that holds leads, and the job is all his. Charles was barely on the field last night and will continue that way for most of the season. Charles is not an everydown back and will never be one while at the Chiefs.

Jennings stats are only slightly better then Boldin's who's been splitting catches his career with one of the other best WR's in football. Boldin is a superior talent to Jennings. The question was what would the chemistry be like with Flacco, that got answered for me last night. He's in for a huge year.

  5. Pretty obvious that Boldin is the #1 WR for that team, however now what happens between Mason and Housh? I thought Mason was great value in the draft before the trade, now I am ready to kick him to the curb even though he is like my #5WR (technically #4 until Holmes comes back).

My 2 Cents, this is Flacco's progression for game 1:

    1. Boldin

    2. Rice

    3. Mason

    4. Housh

Housh is better then Clayton though, so he will get relied on more and more as the season progresses and will eventually get to number 2 on that list.

  6. Dude, check the dates of the posts here.

This is funny though and should stop all the "is this collusion" or "should I block this trade" threads. Guy is complaining that a "newb" dropped Hasselbeck and then traded Cottchery for Farve before the start of last season. And his "only" other quarterback was Schaub. Sounds like the newb probably kicked some ass.

    Totally enjoyable necromancy...

  7. I disagree - the commish could easily have disallowed the drop and add until after the regular season waiver wire process took affect. And IMO that is what he SHOULD have done. Immediately!

(And as a commissioner myself, that is what I would have done.)

    I agree with this actually...

As it turns out, it was a "mistake" and the whole thing was undone. Tomorrow, Kickoff!

  8. precisely. what is "funny"? if i trade with another team, we both believe that we're gaining competitive advantage--getting better relative to everyone else in the league. how is that 'funny'?

if it's a question of throwing games or the like, that can't be proven in any sport on earth unless you actually overhear the negotiations.

Tradebacks are funny. Those should be handled in the rules...

  9. Well considering that I dropped Michael Bush today for a 3rd Defense I'm guessing you're not going to listen to my opinion.

But maybe its a smart move. Some leagues have defensive scoring systems that make it imperative to have strong match-ups every week. If he has depth at RB and thinks the Cards give him match-up advantages then who are you to judge? Let the man run his team.

The better question is why do drops go to first come first serve? Why not have Beanie hit the waiver wire to let people make claims on him? I think this exposes a hole in your league rules and not the owners judgment.

I won't disagree with ya because of Michael Bush. I agree with ya on the waiver, we have open waivers before the start of the season... next year I'm definitely going to propose that anyone dropped is not available until week 1 waivers.

The owner's judgment didn't need exposing... It was already exposed. I like the trade rape idea myself...

  10. So we got this D-Bag in our money competitive league who's in our first year with us and it is already clear he will not be brought back. Our league is pretty competitive every year and this guy just come in and screwed the pooch during the draft. Peyton Manning in 1.10 as the first QB off the board was his best pick. He proceeded to blame someone else for picking Peyton after he tried to change his pick to Aaron Rogers five picks later... It all went down hill from there.

Anyways, Mr. Wonderful just dropped Beanie Wells for his third defense. The Cardinals no less... and the commissioner swooped in and picked him up 4 minutes later. I know they're not colluding, he just took advantage.

I'm still calling BS... This guy's gonna F with the integrity of the league all season long and this is just the beginning. What would you guys do?

**I know, wrong board, noone cares, sh***

  11. I agree.

I do not think this helps the ravens or Flacco, all it does is provide insurance for when either Mason or Boldin goes down with an injury. I do not think a wide receiver core of 3 slow guys is going to scare anyone.

Until shown otherwise, Boldin should be respected as nothing less then the utter monster he is

  12. The thing I always wonder with commits like this is who then goes down? Rodgers, Brees, Peyton, Brady, Romo, Rivers, Schaub...that's seven guys right there. To be top 5, Flacco will need to outperform at least three of them! Let's not forget that the Ravens want to run, run, and run. That and three slow and/or old WRs does not a top 5 QB make. IMO

    Rivers and Romo
