Cameron (injured) & Paul Tucker Denver Two weeks in a row I was hit with 2 injuries in the first half of the 1pm games. Basically the last two weeks my games were lost before 2pm.

Any love for Niles Paul? Homers, is this guy worth a shot against JAX?

Hawkins? Maybe Burleson. I don't think Miles Austin has anything left in the tank. His preseason hasn't been anything to get excited about.

14 team league and I also went this strategy. 1.12 - AJ Green 2.03 - A. Jeffrey (I feel he will have a monster year, so i took a gamble and passed on RB's) 3.12 - CJ Spiller (was hoping for a RB to fall but it didn't work out) 4.03 - Kenan Allen (i think this was a steal) 5.12 - S. Ridley 6.03 - J. Cameron I'm ok with these 6 but do need help at RB, but also picked up Kapernick and was able to land C. Hyde, K. Moreno and Jonathan Stewart and M. Evans is my WR4. Time will tell but there are always RB's to be found off waivers as the season progresses.

Hmm, but Johnny Football was stride for stride with him until the 30 yard mark, so going with your logic Johnny would also have the 50 yard run. Too much is put on times etc. Emmit Smith wasn't the fastest player on the field during his time in the NFL but nobody could put a hand on him. It's more than just numbers...

This crazy talk added to that of a couple years back of taking away the kickoff, I can see the field goal kicker being removed from the game altogether. Complete nonsense. Let's get the refs to switch out the ball to that of 50 years back when it resembled more of a rugby ball and let the QB drop kick it for 3.

NFL is a Sunday event. Most of the games are played on Sunday (except now Thursdays but those aren't really games). Why change what has worked for many many years! I personally like Super Bowl Sunday!

Off topic but still related to Keeper Leagues. Our league of 25 years is considering switching to a keeper league format. Looking at either 2 or 3 keepers (optional; meaning you don't have to keep any if you prefer not to). The question; would it be best to start now with current players this year or begin after next years draft where everyone going in knows they can retain 2 - 3 players at the end of the season?

For most of us in the league, going on 25 years now (started in 1989) it's not bout the money. That usually goes to the wives, its more about talking for the next 12 months.

It happens more than you would think. Our league is 80 / 20 to 1st and 2nd the difference is fairly large. $4,200 is collected, 14 teams $300 per team; less draft party expenses which can total $1,000 easy. $3,200 at 80% is $2,560 vs $640.

Is 7 leagues really necessary? At most I've done 3 in one year. Big money, work and father son league. Currently down to just 1 big money league and never get crap from my better half. Do you really need to participate in 7?
