Second in the league in points but fifth place in record. Would be one spot of the playoffs is started next week.
-
I got Hillis off the wire this week. Would you really start him over MJD in a PPR? I have both and with Portis hurting looking at Jamal and MJD right now and was gonna wait on Hillis. You don't think Tatum is gonna run like he's carrying stolen luggage and have a HUGE game?
-
Picked up and started Lance Moore since Calvin was on a bye but happened to face LJ and S. Moss. Oh yeah, would you bet me twenty bucks this morning that MJD, Portis and Lynch would score ZERO TDs between them with the matchups they had?
-
If Patten is inactive then in a PPR league Moore is number 2, or more looks. Now, Meachem or Devery may get a long TD over Moore and therefore may outscore Moore but which one between the two is a guess. I would say Bush, Moore, Miller, Meachem and Devery as far as looks. But Devery or Meachem may outproduce the other receivers but Moore is your guy in PPR.
-
Good point. All my comments assume Colston and Patten are out for any particular game. If Patten plays then it is a 4-way crap shoot. When Colston is back then the rest are bye week fillers unless Meacham takes this chance and runs with it. He has the best chance of being fantasy worthy when Colston comes back if you have the roster spot.

Saints season ticket holder (although I hardly think that makes me an expert), here are my thoughts: If Patten is out then Moore is the safest play in PPR, see last weeks stats and he will start for whatever thats worth. Meacham and Devery are the higher risk plays. I would not be surprised if either one of them outscore Moore but I think its a coin flip which one. If you want or need to gamble then Meacham then Devery would be your guy. If you are looking for steady PPR points in a WR3 due to match up or byes then I would go with Moore. I drafted Fasano late and since he is boom or bust, I am starting Miller since he will at least give you something. Miller is not a bad play if you dont' have a top 10 TE. Just my thoughts as a long suffering Saints fan.

Too lazy to offer the link but per Rotoworld: Patten sat and most soruces think Moore starts. Actually the starting spot up for grabs if Patten doesn't go is Devery or Meacham.
-
I totally agree with Driver. If Patten is out it is highly likely that Moore and Devery start. That being said Meacham will play alot. With Colston and Shockey out its a crap shoot week to week to who will be the high scorer. It might be Meacham one week, Devery the next. In PPR Moore would be the play in my opinion anyway.
-
No insider info but in PPR Lance Moore is the more consistent play. Coaching staff seem to like him better definitely not as much upside (long TDs) but i am bidding on Moore on our WW this week.
-
Patten is probably still no better than a WR3. I see Shockey picking up a few more red zone targets that normally would go to Colston. Until he is back I can see Brees spreading it around with on any given week Patten, Devery, Lance Moore and maybe Meacham being the best fantasy play. I personally think Lance Moore gets the biggest bump in production but may not be fantasy relevant. For whatever reason Meacham seems to be in Payton's doghouse (healthy scratch last week) and that's not a good place to be. Ask Donte.

My sentiments almost exactly. As much as i hate it, Deuce is probably done (took a picture with my kids after a game). But Henry C's post is correct that it might end up being RBBC. That being said Bush does have a history of missing some time and if he does Pierre is gold. BTW, my son requested a Pierre Thomas jersey for Christmas last year before the Bears game.

I would also go with DeSean over Berrian. Would anyone start Desean over Burleson this week?
-
I would go with Ginn. He should be thenumber one target for the Dolphins. Looks like Hackett is playing and except for a history with Delhomme, Mush is not a better option than Hackett. I just wouldn't use Gage yet.
-
I waited late also and picked from the left overs. I got Fasano and will start him week one if he busts I will play waiver wire week to week. I really wanted Alge Crumpler for a late pick tight end but just missed him. If he wasn't drafted I would pick him up now.

Most everything we hear about Meachum is positive (haven't made it to camp myself). Rumors that are out there say that if he continues to look good and the rookie Arrington is also looking good so Devery may be the odd man out and not make it out of camp.

I agree. My long time local league went to an auction format last year but we actually went the first 6 rounds or half the draft auction and the last half a standard snake draft with lots drawn for draft order. Anyone else done it this way before? I kinda like it so if for some reason the auction doesn't quite go your way you can smartly draft mid and lower round players and the "no-brainer" picks are bidding.

ok PPR owners....give me some tips & fraft strat's

In a ppr that must start a TE, I agree with the top 3-4 TEs going around 30th or 4th-5th round. One of the big TEs (winslow, witten, gates (injury ?) and now maybe shockey) will give you a big advantage week to week. So reach for one of the big 3-4 so you won't be playing matchups week to week with your TE. -
Last game of the year 100+ rushing, 100+ receiving in his only start and I believe kept the starting job over a first round pick this year (Mendenhall) while at Illinois. Saints kept him as undrafted player over Pittman whom they drafted last year so obvious can play a little bit.

45 yard line, 25th row in the upper level of the Superdome (not bad seats) a little over 30 bucks a ticket. My son and I get 2 season tickets for a little over 600 dollars.

2007 winner Jason David

Pierre Thomas ! Duece will be coming back from injury and I hope we trade Bush for defensive help and a draft pick. Bush gotta go.
-
Forget Fantasy, as a season ticket holder I would like him traded for a cornerback and a 2nd or 3rd round pick while he still has value. Look what Stecker and Pierre Thomas can do as the starter in that offense. PLEASE trade him for defensive help.
-
See my post under Stecker vs. Kolby. If Bush is out I would start Stecker over Edge and not look back. MJD maybe but thats harder because Taylor has looked so good but will they rest Taylor if they get up on the Raiders???
-
I am starting Stecker but have no real options. For those with other options here is my 2 cents being a longtime Saints fan and season ticket holder. I would look at what you think you need out of the position. Stecker is not likely to repeat last week but if Bush is out or not he will get steady points, more in PPR, but is not likely to "blow up". If you are playing a juggernaut and need max production from every spot then gamble with a Kolby Smith (multiple TD potential) but Stecker will get solid if not spectacular production. IF Bush is out he then goes from good to great play especially in PPR. Hope this helps.

"Walker" Texans Ranger? "Urban" Myth? In Gado we Trust?
Saints1 replied to RamslovaMartzhata's topic in FFToday Board
I promise KEITH Urban will get you no points this week. All kidding aside, Walker is the saftest of the 3.
