Well, I guess we all owe the Houston Texans an apology. They obviously knew what they were doing in passing on Bush. The fans probably still won't forgive the club for passing on Vince Young, though. Too bad I bought into the Reggie Bush hype. I'll be 3-0 after tonight but can't hope to keep it up by getting nothing out of Reggie.

Does it have anything to do with the fact that LT is not the prototypical Norv Turner running back?

Is Kurt Warner the starter in Arizona now?

A true Steeler fan would have typed "16-0." -
In fairness to Rivers, he didn't drop any balls in that game. Certainly can't pin the loss to the Pats on Schottenheimer, even though he's the favorite whipping boy of the press. Tell me again what Norv Turner's playoff record is as a head coach?

What % of AP's current touches do you see Chester Taylor taking when he comes back?
kwyjibo replied to robertd52's topic in FFToday Board
Chester steals no more than 20% of AD's touches. Peterson is the only playmaker the Vikings have. Minnie will feed the ball to the rookie until his collarbone breaks again. -
I am angry at Reggie Bush for making commercials instead of following his offseason workout regimen. Hopefully the matchup with Vince Young will cause Reggie to pull his head out for a few hours on Monday evening. Otherwise, I am upset by Andre Johnson's injury but I can't blame AJ for that.

Nate, how come you didn't grab Brandon Jackson? You seem to have the rest of the Jacksons. -
Did anyone have a better POTENTIAL lineup than this?

Don't forget Ronnie Brown's 2-point conversion. -

With the NFC being so wide-open right now, if the Cardinals coaching staff feels that the team is playoff-caliber, they MUST start Warner. So I think Leinart will have a VERY short leash and if he stubs his toe against PIT and Warner comes in to lead the Cards to victory, Kurt gets the nod for the foreseeable future, at least until the Cards are out of playoff contention. As of now, Leinart has about as good of a grasp on the starting job as Grossman has in Chicago. Of course, I do have a vested interest in Kurt starting, being a Boldin owner, so perhaps that is part wishful thinking. -
Consider yourself lucky. Bush is my RB1. One point per reception helps, but I really never thought I'd be kicking myself for starting Bush over Jamal Lewis. Then again, I can't really say he's killing me since I'll be 2-0. I guess it's obvious that there was an NFL fix in '06 for the Saints. Either that or Joe Horn is the most underappreciated player in the league.

Did we ever confirm whether this thread was about Mark Clayton or Michael Clayton? I wouldn't pick up either right now unless you are really desperate. Mark Clayton will be decent if/when he gets healthy. And who is Demetrius Jones? The QB who just transferred from Notre Dame to Northern Illinois? I don't think he's eligible to be picked up.

Who's going to pull a Rodman and rebound this weekend
kwyjibo replied to Super Cubs's topic in FFToday Board
I sure hope so! I am facing a lot of strong defenses this week so I need Reggie to pick up the slack. I'm gonna say Cedric Benson turns in a decent performance against KC. -
When Ced was at UT, all of the Longhorn fans I know were clamoring for Selvin Young. I think part of his problem is that he has somewhat of a laid-back demeanor that gives the impression that he doesn't care, to fans anyway. But like you said, he got it done at UT and he will have the opportunity to get it done this year. I think it's 50-50 whether he does it. He certainly has the ability, but it does not appear that he has the drive. I won't predict any stats, but I will say that I would rather have the "other" Adrian Peterson on my bench than Benson.

The last time Shaun McDonald and Mike Furrey were teammates coached by Mike Martz, Furrey was moved to safety. So be cautious with Furrey.

Until today it seemed like a no-brainer to start Cotchery. However, with Jennings likely out, I'm tempted to take a flyer on James Jones. Am I crazy? Boldin and Andre Johnson are WR1 and WR2. Thanks to Reggie Bush it's pretty important that I choose correctly. Will answer yours if you'd like. Thanks!

Cuse9, you left out one stat. Go with the guy who has the hottest chick. Brady: Bridget Moynihan Romo: Carrie Underwood I guess it's still even. I'd go with Romo here. Statement game for the new regime in Dallas, TO on Sunday Night Football. I see Belichick feeding Maroney a lot this week in the sloppy weather.

Week 1 is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get. Any other RBs lurking on your roster? I can't think of a reason to start BJax or Brown over the other. But my gut tells me to go with Brown. When in doubt, I go with the guy I drafted the highest. I've become quite adept at out-thinking myself.

Tough call. My default position is that if I'm playing against him, he will go off. But I am not facing any of the three. I would rate them as follows: 1. LaMont Jordan 2. Deshaun Foster 3. Julius Jones Jordan has a nice matchup against the Lions' D, plus he wants to assert himself so he will continue to be THE MAN after Rhodes gets back. I expect LaMont to get plenty of touches, as Oakland will want to control the ball to keep the Lions' offense off the field. Foster is a close second, but DeAngelo Williams' presence scares me somewhat. You know Foster will lose touches to Williams, you just don't know how many. It's too early to tell how the new Dallas regime will use JJ, but I'd be leery of starting the guy whose backup (MBIII) led the NFC in TDs last season when you have a clear-cut #1 RB available. Just one man's opinion.

If the rule is that you can't name someone that's already been discussed, I'll toss Mark Bradley out there. For the same reasons that Berrian was mentioned. Only Bradley can't seem to stay healthy.

The Lions could probably use Furrey at safety. There's a reason Mike Martz brought in Shaun McDonald.

Are you in a PPR league? Because it's even being debated, I'm assuming you're not. Just something about NFL Opening Night, with the Saints against the defending champs, makes me think Bush will be HUGE. I lean toward Reggie in that debate. As for me, I'm starting both, as Jamal Lewis is my RB3.
