  1. Who should be my WR3 this week? My top two are Wayne and Jennings. I am thinking I need to choose between Shockey and Galloway (WR=TE in my league). 1 pt per 15 yds, 1 ppr, 6 pts all TD. Leaning toward Shockey. But maybe I should consider Evans, Chambers, or Muhammad as well? Leave a link, will respond to yours.

    Help I lost burlenson...

I'd take Walter. I think he is going to have a solid year opposite AJ.

    sit Steven Jackson this weekend?

While it's true that the Rams have major suckage potential this year, I would never bench SJax in favor of any of those three. Well, maybe Kevin Smith but he has to show me a bit more before I'd seriously consider it.

Vince Young wants to Quit Football?

Brett Favre retired, so Green Bay moved ahead with its free agent signings and draft based on Aaron Rodgers being the starting QB. Then Brett wants to come back, but GB says "thanks but no thanks." That's hardly sticking a boot in his ass. Vince Young owes the Titans his best effort, period. They guaranteed him many millions of dollars to play football. If he quits, he should forfeit half of his signing bonus and all of the remaining money he has coming to him. Quitting is breaching his contract. If the Titans were to trade or waive him, tough shiat. That's all part of the collective bargaining agreement. I guess this episode means the Young's 6 on the Wonderlic test is a lot more meaningful than anyone thinks. Somehow, I doubt we'll see Jeff Fisher imploring the VY haters to come after him because "I'm a Man, I'm 50!" on YouTube.

    SJAX or Michael Turner

STL's offensive line is horrible. I think that fact alone gives Turner the higher value.

    Let's talk Derek Anderson

I picked up Quinn and I don't even own Anderson. There is a very real possibility the Browns could start 1-4, at which point one can easily imagine that they would officially kick off the Brady Quinn Era. Not something Anderson can control, unfortunately.

    Free Agent QB Help

I like Schaub. I am wary of Delhomme's bionic elbow.

    Tom Brady Owner....

If he liked your original offer, do the deal and don't think twice. Atlanta has zero games remaining against Detroit. Brees will be the top fantasy QB if he doesn't get hurt.

need some QB help: Hasselback or WW

Why is Rivers on the WW? I like him over Hasselbeck, period.

    Got Cassel

Every team in the league is gonna try to pawn a QB off on the guy, and I don't think Cassel would be his first choice, so you probably won't get what you want out of the deal. He might offer Ray Rice. Cassel might be a good guy for you to hang onto for a couple of weeks until we know if JAC's offensive line can block anyone. If Garrard keeps taking a beating, he might wind up injured too.

    Rasta Ricky Owners

He is behind Grant, Turner, and McFadden on my depth chart.

    Ben Watson

Is there a reason I shouldn't get rid of Ben Watson to take a flier on a WW player? Not someone I expect to contribute immediately, but MIGHT provide valuable depth later in the season. Will reveal more after transaction goes through since other league members know my identity. My team is in sig. WR = TE.

    Jamarcus Russel

In Russell's defense, Leinart came into the league with more hype even though he was drafted lower. And Leinart can't even win the starting job from a Geritol-sipping journeyman.

    Jamarcus Russel

How does a QB as terrible as Russell wind up going #1? I guess it's like the MLB pitcher who can throw 102 mph but can't find the strike zone. For that matter, how does Alex Smith go #1? I don't think he even had Russell's "cannon arm." Luckily for the Raiders, Daunte Culpepper is still out there...

    The Burner Guarantee! - REPOST

I would agree with you if the Falcons played the Lions at least four times this year.
  16. Brady "destined" to be #1??? According to whom? I had him projected to be #3 behind Brees and Romo. If you loved Brees so much, why didn't you take him? Looks like you were afraid to have been laughed at for picking him over Brady. Bring your testicles to next year's draft.

Who should I expect to get for Matt Cassel?

Dangle him out there to see what kind of bites you get. If you get an offer that upgrades your team even slightly at any position, take it. Don't expect a RB that's any better than what you already have, but you might get someone who thinks Cassel will throw for 40 TDs because he's the "New England QB" and will overpay you for Cassel. In addition to the Brady owner, you should target the guys who own Derek Anderson and Carson Palmer to see if they're ready to push the panic button.
  18. Heading into the Monday doubleheader, I am down by 19 points. I have three guys yet to play, Opponent is finished. 1 point per 15 rush/rec, 1 PPR, 6 pts all TDs. I have Jennings and Packers defense still to play, along with McFadden. But I still have the option of starting Grant in place of DMac. I think it's foolish to take a chance on Grant considering he is gimpy, hasn't practiced, and faces Minnie. Just wanting to make sure I'm not missing something.

    Ricky Williams vs Ronnie Brown

Brown looked shiftier, but that seemed to be the only difference to me. Both showed decent speed. The "took off the steering wheel" description of Williams was apt. As a Ricky owner I wish I had Brown instead right now. He's a lot better than I thought he'd be right now. But I still worry about how Ronnie's knee will hold up. I am already targeting Brown for 2009.

    **Official Week One F.U.s**

A really big "fock you" to the replay officials in Cleveland. That was a TD for Owens. Why the fock was that focking play not focking reviewed?!? A gift six points to MBIII and my opponent there. Fock me for thinking Chris Chambers would supplant Gates as Chargers #1 weapon in pass game. Fock me for thinking McNabb has nobody to catch his passes in Philly. I guess I'll have fun with Favre and Eli. At least I had the good sense to start Turner this week.
  21. Total points all the way because of bye weeks. Even though everything else is just like the NFL, the big difference is that NFL teams cannot lose during their bye weeks. FF teams can and often do lose when they have their best three players sitting out. It is dumb to give Team A the advantage over Team B solely because Team A had the good fortune playing Team B when A was at full strength and B could not use its top three or four players due to byes. That being said, NEVER change the rules after the draft. If your league wants to change, do it prior to next season.

    Week 1 Starters

I am struggling with my starters for week 1. Moreso with RBs than WRs. RB (pick two) - Grant, McFadden, Turner, Ricky Williams, Norwood WR/TE (pick three)- Wayne, Jennings, Chambers, L Evans, Galloway, Shockey, Muhammad, Watson I am leaning toward Grant/McFadden and Wayne/Jennings/Chambers. Talk me out of it if I'm wrong. Leave link and will reply to yours.

Give me the straight dope on this Draft please!

Pretty nice squad for a 10-teamer. If you are in any trade talks, drive a really hard bargain. Unless you are the clear winner of the deal you're better off sitting still.

Matt Waldman predicts Megatron will out perform Moss

I prefer the predictions from the guys who before last season predicted 50 TDs for Brady, and recommended avoiding SJax and Gore. Seriously, though, I think I'm on board with Megatron outproducing Moss.
  25. Liberals don't keep score in their leagues. So we can never truly judge their fantasy football ability. Conservatives cannot field a full team because they won't draft any player who's run afoul of the law or is too much of a celebrity. Their performance gets an "incomplete" rating. Libertarians probably are the best because they draft the guys who got busted for smoking weed.
