  1. Is foster hammy serious?

Hammys are one of those things that it really doesn't matter how bad it is (other than a rupture) they are so prone to reinjury that they almost always take 6-8 weeks, at least for non-pro athletes. If it is really minor I could see it being a 2-4 week thing with NFL trainers, but wouldn't count on him not missing any time.

  2. Participate in a different, but similar league- 2QB/2RB/5WR/2TE/2K/2DEF, 10 teams

To have any chance at contending you must get QB/QB/RB/RB in your first 6 rounds, and realistically 3QB/3RB by round 11. Expect QB run in mid first- by end of round 2 expect 8-10 QB off the board. By 6th you are going to be looking at guys like Weeden/Ponder/Gabbert/Locker.

In your ESPN OP league it shouldn't be as dramatic,

  3. Ive played in a 2QB league for several years- you must take at least 1QB in your first three picks. Personally, with the 2 spot this year,I would strongly consider going RB in the first, and then depending on what happens in the second, you know the #1 spot almost will be forced to go QB/RB in 2/3, so if there are 2 guys you like go RB, if the drop off happens, be prepared to go QB/RB. Realistically there will be 10 QBs taken before your second pick, and just scraps for your 4th (guys like Ponder/Weeden/Locker - if you are lucky maybe Palmer might fall). Forget WRs until 5 or maybe 6 if a stud TE falls. With 6pt passing TDs and everybody being forced to draft 3QBs, get them early. The variance is just too high. Everytime I have tried to wait on QBs until round 5-6 I end up getting stuck with guys like Tyler Thigpen or Charlie Frye as my QB2

  4. Hernandez was clearly involved in covering up the homicide, if we can dignify such clumsy efforts as a "coverup." The best case scenario is that he told his henchmen to "take care of this guy" learned to his horror that they had killed him instead of just roughing him up, and then made drug-addled and/or panicky efforts to hide the crime.

Agree. However I'm starting to wonder about a different scenario. Hernandez and the victim were apparently pals- Ive heard rumblings suggesting that this was part of a drug deal gone wrong. If Hernandez was simply selling or buying to the victim, why do it in an industrial complex rather than in his garage/basement/area without a camera?

I am speculating that Hernandez and the victim were partners in some Jamal Lewis type drug deal and met a third party in the industrial center for the purpose of either buying or selling drugs, and that deal went sour. Hernandez is now obstructing to cover his own involvement in narcotic aspect of the crime rather than being responsible for the murder per se.

No, I am not a Pats fan.

  5. If they were free transactions I would be 100% against it.

It still is douchey.... but with a $5 per transaction penalty, it gets pushed into the "douchey good strategy".

However, be prepared for bitching and possible waiver clearance- e.g. the turn around time being wiped out, and you being out the $100.

  6. What about Sammy Morris he had a touch down and some 40 yds in week1. ESPN thinks he is a good FA pick.

I liked Jordan before the season also, but based on the loss of Brady and the downs per back rotation that happened Sunday... Honolulu hit the nail on the head. This has 4+ way RBBC written all over it.

  7. About as "Know a guy who knows a guy" as it gets, but roommate was there in a luxury box, and the word among the staff was MCL and that he left the stadium midway through the second.

  10. I'm trying to figure out why its not considered a block if it caused the kick to miss. Even on the play by play its mentioned. i already contacted my commish and he says nothing can be done unless the NFL officially counts it.

To be officially scored as a blocked kick/punt the kick/punt must end up behind the line of scrimmage. So getting a hand on it, even if you deflect it completely parallel to the line of scrimmage, is not a blocked kick UNLESS you force the ball back.

  11. I would swap out AdP for SJax in the first tier, and strongly consider taking AdP 1st overall.

I would consider bumping MJD up to tier 2, dropping Westbrook to tier 3. How much more do Westbrook and LJ really have? I would also probably bump Parker up to tier 2.

SA I wouldnt consider tier 3, though he would be drafted as such, I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole. He has at most 2 years left.
