I liked what I saw out of Redman in the playoffs, but I don't know much about Dwyer. He's gotten a lot of pre-season hype from NFL players such as MJD. Is this a 50/50 split or does one emerge as the back as a legit starter. Mendenhall is an afterthought IMO. I'm looking at one of these in a salary cap league as they both have great value but cant take both. In terms of draft leagues, i see either one of this being a nice RB3 and a steal in late drafts if one can keep the starting role.

Turner is turning 30, ATL has an easy pass schedule and is looking to throw more this year apparently. Does he take on a bigger role this season and become valuable? In draft leagues he can probably be had in round 10 or later and in salary cap or PPR leagues he'd be an absolute steal.

I'd guess a 4 game suspension. Could possibly help him focus on rehab. I wouldn't start him to begin the season anyhow. Would be nice to stash away on a bench though.

Pro Bowl on verge of being cancelled..for good
Natetradomus replied to shovelheadt's topic in FFToday Board
Should be flag football. Reward the fans who want to see the pathetic event and reward the pros for earning to be the best of the best. Injury isn't worth it. Should be about fun. I don't think I've watched the pro bowl in over ten years, maybe more, but either cancel it or make it flag football, better yet, have each player who makes the pro bowl select one team cheerleader to play in his place and we can make it a female flag football game wearing that pro's jersey - NOW THAT I WOULD WATCH! -
Players that turned it on at the end of last season
Natetradomus replied to Matt Mueller's topic in FFToday Board
I'd like to say Crabtree, but he will always be inconsistent with Alex Smith and his lack of work ethic. Denver WRs should be strong value this season. Maybe even their TE (yea i have no idea who they are) and Mcgahee. -
I think without Manning he'll be a top 15 WR this year personally. With him, a top 10 maybe.

I'd be weary to deal with any player having this guy as an agent. He always seems to milk organizations for every dime. I'm pretty sure Manning had no interest in signing with the 49ers and it was all a ploy for Alex Smith to get more money. The dolphins offering 8 million a year? Unless I heard wrong, that is way too much for Alexis Smith, cmon! They are totally pulling the 49ers strings. I'd like to see that backfire and for him to actually sign with the dolphins. Way too much money for the niners to spend on a below average game managing quarterback. Alexis Smith and Rosenhaus both know the 49ers are the best fit for Alexis. Superbowl contender, same coach who is able to get the most out of him... unless he is so jaded with having a new coach every season and actually craves that now... Yeah, it's definitely a ploy for more money and Manning was used to lure the niners bait line. Edit: Yeah Tom C. Had Drew in my head though because it's something he woulda done They are trying to milk the niners for more than 8 mil which was the point i was getting at though. My bad on the error.
-
Niners should sign smith and trade him to the dolphins for Moore ha ha. As a niner fan, i don't want alexia smith another 3 years. I'll take Colin Ferrel Kapernick - 6"4, rifle arm who can scramble any day over Alexis.

Lol @ seachickens as superbowl contender. If that's the case, every team is a superbowl contender. Go back and eat some more skittles. You guys aren't going anywhere. -
The AFC teams are all secretly hoping this happens soon lol. I don't care what Alex may have done last season, I don't want him as a niner ever again. He's horrible and that's the bottom line.

Randy Moss has reached a one year deal with the 49ers

Not sure Alexia Smith can throw past 25 yards. Accurately, not past 15 yards. Bizarre signing. *iphone typos lol, not sure how yards turned into years. -
People forget Montana's first superbowl team didn't have any hall of famers. They assumed he had Rice, Craig etc. when he had a bunch of nobody's. Look at that 1981 superbowl team. Montanta didn't have a prime Rice for all those superbowls. Young did and couldn't do nearly what Montana did with equal or more talent. In addition to that, his team didn't have have to cheat. Brady is one of my favorite QB but he isn't anywhere near Montana. I'm not even sure he is right behind him. I'll say he is a top 5 of al time but that's it. The cheating scandal brings him down a few notches. Finally, Montana not only didn't ever have to cheat but he never lost a superbowl. Never. Not only that, but they destroyed the teams they played in the superbowl except for one team. None were ever really close. It's always hard to compare QB of different eras since rules change. It's more of a passing league now and was more of a run game before. Not just statistically speaking, but rule wise you can't even breath on someone now. I'll go as far to say Brady was the best of his era, but I'll listen to other arguments such as Manning etc. and other qB's with less titles. The whole cheating thing really puts a cloud over what Brady has accomplished IMO. **Forgot to mention 0 interceptions in the superbowl**
-
Montana with zero interceptions and zero loses in the superbowl. Brady now has 2 losses. It's just not close. Those two loses are also after the Spygate cheating scandal. Who knows if the Pats would have ever won without the cheating. They could be like the Buffalo Bills if they didn't cheat. With that said, Montana is the GOAT whether he wants to be it or not.

You can shake up the league once every 25 years and make all players eligible for draft. It's not a real reset since players don't last 25 years in the NFL, but it would be interesting to see how veteran players are drafted with young rookies and how each team builds their future. This could also help historic bad franchises to try to make a name for themselves. I wouldn't be opposed to this. I would be opposed to this happening too often t hough.

I like the G-Men to cover. I think the crowd will actually play a factor due to Peyton's little brother being in town as the QB and the fact that Indy and NE has such a bitter rivalry. I'm ignoring all match-ups in this one as it seems it could go either way and looks even. It's too hard to see who will win, for me anyway, but i do like the giants to cover the +3 and the game possibly going under the 55 (last I checked). I'm thinking a final score somewhere of 24-23 in a nail biter down to the wire (I'm no capper though ha ha).
-
Yea all you gotta do is google New England Cheating scandal. Several articles for your enlightenment. When a QB knows what to do and when to do it, it's cheating. It's like playing Tecmo Bowl, watching what defense your opponent is picking and picking the right play against it.

I heard Coughlin gave him the game ball and he fumbled it.

Game Day: AFC Championship - Ravens at Patriots
Natetradomus replied to PATSSOX's topic in FFToday Board
Wow evans and then cundiff. They both should be released. Not sure why that wasn't a penalty on the DB. His back was turned on that play. -
Lol @ onside attempt. GO NINERS!!
-
I've been out of the country and am trying to catch up. From my understanding, Braylon was released. Delanie is hurt and questionable. Kyle is questionable. Ginn is questionable. Guess I'm wondering who the hell does Alex have to throw to and how can we possibly win this game. I thought we stood a good chance of winning but we seriously cannot count on crabcakes can we? I suspect Brees tries to light up the scoreboard early just like they did in preseason to negate Gore's value. Thoughts? I see the game going under with a solid performance by the defense holding them to field goals early, but unless we force turnovers I don't see us having a chance without any receivers.
-
I sure hope this is a high scoring game. This Baltimore game is kinda boring compared to what we saw Sat. 42-38 GB. Routing for NY though.

Haters are quiet. Gotta love my $100 Moneyline bet!!
-
I will say this, no one gave the SF giants a chance when they won the world series that year! There's always a team that shocks the world too in the NFL playoffs

Steve smith will be a year older. They'll need to land more targets in the off season. Not sure where they are in the draft, maybe blackmoon.
