I drafted him thinking to put him on a long term contract. But after watching him this week and how defenders were stuck to him like glue...I won't be signing him. And the other Eagle receivers looked very good.
-
Anybody high on Maclin? I think he could be great! Quite a college career and Philly moved up in the draft to get him. McNabb says he could start now. Any Eagle homers out there?
-
I surely hope so. It was a very big deal that The Pack got Capers and other D coaches. And the Def was what held them back last year. If Raji and Mathews produce; they could be very good. O course, I am not biased in the least.

Mike Bell (NOS) or Deshawn Wynn (GB) take a flyer on either one

My feeling is that barring injuries...Wynn won't make the team. They will keep 3 RBs with Lumpkin being the 3rd. -
My hope for The Pack draft is: BJ, Orakpo, Smith or the Florida State pass rusher in that order. In the 2nd and 3rd I would like them to get: Someone in the middle if they did not get BJ and an OL if they did not take Smith and a DE/pass rusher if they did not get Orakpo or Smith and an OLB/rusher. I think we will just have to work with the secondary and see how it pans out this year. Later in the draft The Pack needs a punter. With the other picks The Pack needs to get more OL, maybe a fullback, and DL.

Actually you have some pretty good plays. The Skins have the best D. And two of the others are RBC but could all do well. I look for Grant to break out (of course, I am a homer). The Pack ought to start having good running games against teams with lousy running D's. Indy should fit that criteria.

I have Holt and absolutely the only thing he has done all year is to catch a totally lucky 40 yard TD. If he doesn't do something this week...the Lambs out to bench him.
-
Being a Packer fan...I am kinda bummed out.

Our league has two supplemental drafts with one coming up this week. I need a W/O. Who would you take among: Eddie Royal, Matt Jones, Antonio Bryant, Bobby Engram, or Steve Smith? I've always like Bryant's potential but other receivers are coming back and don't think he will get a lot of looks. Maybe too many W/Os in NY too. Though Toomer is also available.

What about Hank Baskett? He looked pretty good.

The thing I like about the divisions are the rivalries they create. You have to play other teams in the same division twice...which makes them important games. I think baseball blew it by cutting the number of games teams play each other in a division. The rivalries and games against each other just aren't as important any more.

I sat him and ran L.White and S.Jackson. I am already nervous about who to play next week.

commissioners out there...... need a little help

Save yourself some pain. Put it to a quick vote. Unless of course you are a republican and have a fear of letting go of authority even for a second. -
Kregg Lumpkin, 3rd String RB in Green Bay
gopkrs replied to fatguylittlecoat's topic in FFToday Board
I don't see Grant as over-rated. I do see him as lucky to land in a situation where the O-line was so bad that it could not do anything but get a little better. And he can run with intensity. That said...Jackson is strong and fast. If he can get it into his head (as he did in Detroit) to make that cut w/o hesitating, he will keep improving. Lumpkin has impressed the coaches, else as Irish said, they would not have let Morency and Herron go. They were average but pretty solid. Lumpkin is getting some carries and evidently has decent hands. RBBC for now with Grant the go to guy. I am personally glad they kept Lumpkin. He has possibilities. -
I got RB in the 7th round and can put him on a three year contract whereby next year he will cost me an eighth round and then a 9th round the next year. I see where Miami extended Ricky but I am still thinking that Brown has too much talent to sit. Anyone have thoughts on Ronnie Brown's future. Our scoring counts on pass receptions also.
-
It's probably a good move by AZ coach to bench Leinart. Rodgers seems to be better for it. Might as well play the old pro when you have a young guy that can learn more.
-
Well, if they want Ricky...wouldn't they be trading Ronnie. These names are too much. I mean, he has a hefty salary.

I've been a Packer fan all my life (still am). I read the GB news comments and I have to admit that GB fans are right now out of it. Not all of them but the Favre whiners get me to the point that I wonder if they are not bear or viking fans in disguise. Hopefullly they will get back on track.

Javon Walker: Does this guy have any kind of upside?
gopkrs replied to H-man's topic in FFToday Board
I'm a Packer fan and Walker done us wrong. Anyway, the last laugh is on him and I have him in FF. Thing is...I think the raiders have only two receivers. Him being one of em. So if he gets his head on straight; he may catch a few. -
I think pre-season is necessary. I always like to watch the Packer players to see who should make the team. Injuries are part of the game. Do you think someone gets injured more in a pre-season game than if it was made into a regular season game? That's ridiculous. Someone like LT does not play at all in pre-season. Other players like and need to get their timing right. Teams need a chance to see players on the bubble in real-time situations.

Anybody else not liking what they're seeing out of Cleveland?
gopkrs replied to ppierce's topic in FFToday Board
All these feelings mean about as much as pre-season...pretty much zilch. I am hoping Anderson is the real deal since I drafted him. And anyway, Quinn was not very good in college and so don't know why he would be much in the pros. -
LJ should be at least as good as he was last year. The problem is if they don't fix the Oline; he will disappear when KC plays a good team.
