Of course I am playing against Marshall...
-
I was offered AJ Green/Gonzo for Nelson/Cameron. I never thought I would turn that down...but I did!
-
Why? At least things could potentially turn around for the young stud
Wilson has had 4 weeks to do something...anything. He came up with a whopping 9 FF points in 4 games. A one legged kicker could have done that. If it looks like a turd and smells like a turd, it is probably a turd. Jackson will eventually come back and will outperform WIlson. Wilson may have a couple of good games where he busts off a big TD run but I don't want to be tempted to play him and get his usual 3 points a game waiting for it to happen.
Let me clarify, I would rather have an old cripple ride my bench than a young potential stud continually underperform and lose me games...because I will be tempted to start him. Just my 2 cents.

I was offered Wilson for an injured SJax today. I thought about it and the possibilities of a nice steal but then I remembered who I was looking at. I think that I would rather have an old cripple ride my bench than a young potential stud continually underperform and lose me games.

About to drop to stash Harvin.
This
He definitely wasn't lightning in a bottle for me.

I always love Waiver Wire nights just to see what present somebody is going to leave for me. Tonight I get to chose from James Jones, Alshon Jeffrey, Knowshon Moreno, Fred Davis and Terrelle Pryor. Since Vereen has to go to the junk pile for a while...Merry Christmas!
I love overeacting owners!

I was offered Wilson/Spiller for Sproles/SJax and am not sure I am gonna take it. At least I know what I am getting with Sproles and Jackson. And yes, it is the "Wilson" part of the trade that I don't like...too much risk. However, I would take Wilson's risk over Lamar Miller's risk any day of the week.
-
Against my better judgement, I drafted him. However, I took Cameron two rounds later after realizing that I just entrusted Finley to actually score at my TE position. Talk about quick buyers remorse. I hope I grabbed two gems but I am not holding my breath.
-
I reached for Kennbrell Thompkins in the 11th even though my WR was weak. Granted...there wasn't much left but "high upside" guys anyways.

I am up by 15 points and he has Johnson going. I pray he doesn't find the endzone.
-
I am up by 15 and he has Chris Johnson tomorrow. I sat the Denver D for the Lions' piece of sh!t D...probably cost me a shot at the Championship. I hope Johnson has another lousy game.

I have been struggling with this for days. I have been riding Denver's D for weeks and, due to the hype, picked up Detroit's for this weekend. Every bone in my body tells me not to play them AT Arizona. I just can't seem to buy into them becoming a good unit just because the Cardinals suck so bad. At least my opponent can't play them against me as they blow up on my bench.

As a person who drafted Gronk in the 2nd round, I would have to agree. He was a major factor (not single-handedly, but him and RG3 were the backbone) in my 10 game winning streak. I had gotten used to the solid 12-20 points from him every week that when he went down, I'm scrambling between Lewis and Bennett. I don't regret drafting him high.
I used a second rounder on Gronk as well...never regretted it. I had Graham last year. You can find late round WRs and RBs that can produce but TEs are a different beast. Having Gronk or Graham gives you an edge that cannot be found in later rounds of the draft or on the WW. I thought I had Gronk covered with Heath Miller but that plan went south. My only option is to drop Gronk for either Rudolph or Olsen and play matchups. Will Gronk be back for the fantasy playoffs? That is the million dollar question. After having to play these terrible TEs for a couple of weeks, I think I will hold Gronk and pray for his return. TE is a pure crapshoot.

I ended up trading him and Sproles for Rivers and Morris...then traded Rivers for Romo. I needed Morris to offset Mathews' suckage. I hated trading him but he would never see my starting lineup over Ryan anyways.
-
depends where you stand. if you don't need to trade, might not be bad having a good backup.
not having traded Palmer = thank God when Ben is out for me. considering how QB's are getting knocked out of games lately, if you can afford it, keep him.
I really do hate to give up Palmer but Mathews and Sproles are killing me. I need one win to secure my division and a first round bye...Mathews is injured...again...and Sproles is coming off an injury.
-
I have a deal on the table Palmer/Sproles/Wells for Rivers/Morris. I have Matt Ryan and have been holding Palmer for a while because I am worried that the Falcons will rest their players at the end of the season. However, Morris is a pretty big upgrade at RB over both Sproles and Mathews...guess I should quit slow playing him.
-
There are a lot of players sitting on the waiver wire and I have a spot open. How do you rank 'em in a standard league? I will go with the majority.
Daniel Thomas
Andre Roberts
Danario Alexander
Antonio Brown
Cecil Shorts

I am one win away from clinching my division and a first round bye.
-
I got throttled by a team with Brady, SJax, Greene, Welker, etc. on bye week. Every player he played (except Weeden) scored at least one TD. I thought I was gonna cruise past him after starting the Chargers' D only to watch Ryan, Nicks, Celek stink it up.
-
I HAD both of them but traded Charles away this week...thank God. I got McFadden/Stewart for Charles/Tate and then traded McFadden/Stewart to the MJD owner who didn't have any RBs for McCoy. At least I have ONE good RB in my lineup now.
-
I may start shopping Charles for another top tier RB...defenses will stack the box the rest of the year. Cassel was a turnover machine but at least he had the potential to burn you. Quinn...not so much.
-
Well, I guess it is on to plan G. The coin says Palmer...Palmer it is. Good luck everybody!

Are there any issues with the weather in Buffalo today? How about Oakland? Is there an accurate website that discusses weather forecasts in terms of football success? Yes, I have turned to weather forecasts to decide which QB, Hasselbeck or Palmer, will lead me to my loss this weekend. I guess it is better than flipping a coin...maybe.
