I've also got Foster and I use to have Bradshaw but I traded him away for Dallas Clark. Seeing both of these guys go down this weekend is making me a bit nervous but I was able to pick up McGahee earlier this week just in case Rice did happen to get injured. I'm really hoping Jackson is able to go, I'd rather not put McGahee in @ Pitt. Anyone else in a similar situation with owning these 2 guys?
I have both Steven Jackson and Jahvid Best...I'm screwed because both of them will be out for a while.

He is killing my team. Thank God I have Boldin to possibly win it for me. MJD is going to be on the trading block Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, my other two RBs (S. Jackson and Best) went down with injuries.
-
Two names...Maurice Jones-Drew and Joe Flacco. I haven't even come close to a win.
-
F You Shiancoe...he the only Viking that did anything and the only player I was playing against.
-
Rackers in the last round...good enough for me.
-
I hope you are right. I am rolling with Stafford over Flacco this weekend.
-
What do you do with your bench players? I have always been a gambler and held onto guys who could break out, which has burned me a few times. Do you stash players on your bench that have the potential to sneak up and have a great season like a Dexter McCluster or do you hold on to somebody that will be a solid performer and can be used in a pinch like a Mohamed Massaquoi?

And I'm looking at this from a different angle - Flacco and Boldin vs. Jets D Week 1. I won't be subbing anyone in for those two, just trying to gauge how much I should temper my expectations of my two Ravens facing a Revis-less Jets D.
I have Flacco and Boldin and was thinking of sitting them for Stafford and Knox. If Revis is out and Cromartie less than 100%, I am going to play Flacco and Boldin and enjoy watching them light up the Jets' secondary. However, I may just hedge my bet and play Flacco and Knox (v. Detroit).
-
I say Knox. He is a perfect fit in the Martz system and has been targeted more than any other receiver on the team during the preseason. He is the #1 WR on his team. I think Arizona will try to run the ball more this year and Breaston will have to compete with Fitz, one of the best WR in the NFL, for the ball. I can see Breaston having some big games but Knox should be more consistent.

I live in Houston and keep hearing the sports radio stations say that the decision will be made very soon...maybe even by Thursday's game.
Brown has a much larger contract and, if they are dead even, I can see the owner trying to save money. I wouldn't worry about a committee situation...there is no way they will actually waste a roster spot on an extra kicker with a large contract when they have other glaring needs on the defensive side of the ball. Also, Brown injured his plantar fasciitis and is questionable for Thursday's game against Tampa Bay. He has been in a boot and is taking injections in his kicking foot. The only reason Brown may be given a chance is because he is the last "original" Texans player.
I may be wrong but I think that Rackers will get the job outright.

I went with Flacco and Stafford. I think Stafford will suprise some people this year.
Remember, Flacco, Eli, and Ryan all have the same bye week.
-
I am rolling with the Tennessee D (v. Oakland) in week one. With Campbell and Bush injured, I can't see how the Raiders will be able to mount any offense.
-
Knox must have been targeted 7-8 already. I'll take him.
-
The truth is, I am also sitting Boldin for Knox.
-
If Revis is back, I am starting Stafford over Flacco. I can see the CHI v. DET game becoming a shootout and Stafford may get some extra stats at the end of the game. If Revis is still holding out, I will start Flacco because his new toy, Boldin, will actually have some room to roam.

I usually go into the draft with the strategy to pick a D and kicker with my last two picks. I always seem to find a gem due to tidbits I read on this board. I wanted to get it started...what are some defenses that may surprise and outplay their rankings this year?
My pick: the Bengals

I agree with the Wayne pick. Mathews is a mystery pick to me...I just don't what to expect from him.
-
SJax
Mendenhall
DWill
Mathews
Greene
Wayne
Ca. Johnson
Fitz
All of these players have very close ADPs (standard scoring league). I have heard many opinions on how these guys stack up against each other? How do you rank them?
-
SJax was going to be the best pick on the board for me. I am not touching him now.
-
Well...now that Westbrook is signing with the Rams, I am definitely passing on him.
-
I thought he fought through a back injury that he had off season surgery for.
-
I play in a keeper league (one player) and will be drafting 3rd. The best picks on the board are Rice, Turner, SJax, DWill, and R. Wayne. I know Rice and Turner will be the first two picks which leaves me with SJax or DWill. I can't justify taking Wayne when there are a ton of good WRs to choose from. I have been trying to talk myself into taking SJax as he is "the best on the board" but am really struggling with it. I hate my draft spot.
-
It looks like SJax is going to be the best RB on the board when it comes to my pick. I am very hesitant to draft him. Is there a good arguement to draft him over a good WR or QB not named A. Johnson/Moss/Brees/Manning/Rodgers/Brady?

Does anybody think Westbrook or Forte turn in a decent second half of the season?
Westbrook has been shaky (and shaken) while splitting time with McCoy. However, he is actually used in the passing game and plays on a pretty good offense. Forte doesn't share duties but runs behind a terrible offensive line and a tough schedule.
Do either actually have value for the second half of the season? Can either rebound and put up decent numbers?

I didn't know what kicker to pick with my last pick in the draft. The guy in front of me picked Kris Brown so I picked Rackers knowing that I could just drop him and pick another scrub up off of the WW. He hasn't been bad.
