Guest Jwood Posted July 13, 2001 This is the earliest I've ever taken a kicker, but I wanted a good one that I won't ever have to worry about as long as I'm playing in this league.
Guest Ditkanate Posted July 13, 2001 Wow, i really didn't think anyone else would have him down as their #1 kicker... he was tops on my board (5-5 from 50+ last year!)

I think with Johnson at the helm, they will get into scoring range a little more often than in the past. he's got incredible range and plays in good weather most of the time. Plus, he's young and I will never have to worry about a kicker.

Guest RyanM Posted July 13, 2001 AT, I like Brunell as a back up. I feel about him the way I do about McNair. Those guys can only get better!!!! (I owned McNair last year ) Lord that was rough!
Guest Ditkanate Posted July 13, 2001 Well, i needed someone out of the 2nd tier of QB's and would have preferred Collins, but I'll take McNair as 9th round insurance any day.

Guest RyanM Posted July 13, 2001 Dammit. Two guys in a row I was looking at! Smart pick, Smitty. He is either insurance, or a bonus if he gets traded!
Guest pingpong Posted July 13, 2001 Smittah, You WOULD NOT have had another chance to take Gary if he made it to pick
Guest Smitty Posted July 13, 2001 If anyone gets traded (which I doubt) it will be Anderson. Shanahan has clearly stated on several occasions that Gary will be the backup and Anderson will be mired in the depth chart hanging out with Gus Frerotte.
