Pigskin Porkers 0 Posted October 26, 2005 I am in a deep 14 team league, and I am forced to play the hot hand. I did the spreadsheet so I can grab the best matchups each week. In my opinion JAC has the best schedule the rest of the way....combined with SEA would be sweet. For those of you with those two DEF's on the wire might want to consider looking into picking them both up. For me, the only D's with any potential I have access to at this time are: CLE, SEA, MIA, ARI, STL, KC, SF, WAS. WEEK 8 - [1] CLE(vs.Hou) [2] MIA(vs.NO) [3] ARI(vs.DAL) WEEK 9 - [1] SEA(vs.ARI) [2] CLE(vs.TEN) WEEK 10- [1] SEA(vs.STL) [2] ARI(vs.DET) WEEK 11- [1] SEA(vs.SF) [2] ARI(vs.STL) [3] KC(vs.HOU) [4] STL(vs.ARI) WEEK 12- [1] STL(vs.HOU) [2] SF(vs.TEN) WEEK 13- [1] ARI(vs.SF) [2] WAS(vs.STL) [3] SF(vs.ARI) WEEK 14- [1] SEA(vs.SF) [2] STL(vs.Minn) [3] WAS(vs.ARI) [4] KC(vs.DAL) WEEK 15- [1] ARI(vs.HOU) [2] MIA(vs.NYJ) [3] SEA(vs.TEN) [4] WAS(vs.DAL) WEEK 16- [1] STL(vs.SF) [2] SF(vs.STL) [3] MIA(vs.TEN) I know some of you in smaller leagues probably have a lot better matchups then some of these. I am just posting this for people who may need bye week fill-ins, or are in a deep league as I am.
noneofyourbusiness 0 Posted October 26, 2005 I picked up JAX yesterday to mix/match with the disappointing Ravens. I think JAX can be this years Bills.....The Bills defense, along w/ Bennett, won a lot of titles last season!
PittFootball 0 Posted October 26, 2005 WEEK 8 - [1] CLE(vs.Hou) [2] MIA(vs.NO) [3] ARI(vs.DAL) What about Houston vs. Cleveland? I can't put any faith in Baltimore this week and Colts are on a bye! Looking at picking up Houston.
JesterX911 0 Posted October 26, 2005 I too like Jacksonville, some VERY favorable match-ups in prime fantasy weeks.

Houston may have the worst defense in the NFL (outside of Green Bay and San Fran but at least those two force some turnovers). There has to be a better option for you then Houston! noneofyourbusiness 0 Posted October 26, 2005 Raiders? They looked OK against the Bills? It's a long shot but still better then Houston
nflocd 0 Posted October 26, 2005 this may be of use as well: http://www.bioalgorithms.org/people/neill_...ball/index.html before anyone flames me for posting this - i've offered this tool to Mike Krueger here at fftoday so this tool or a similar one should be available here before too long (and once it is, i'll be taking this page down)
First and Long 0 Posted October 26, 2005 49ers Raiders Rams Saints Texans Wow, how many teams are in your league? I agree with noyb that Oakland might be the best gamble out of those.
J.E.T.S.JetsJetsJets 0 Posted October 26, 2005 I think if Hou was only option and I had great matchups everywhere else, I might chance playing short and pickup a tradable depth player. Cle will have scar-arm catching and Dilll4 playing for his job.

Pigskin Porkers 0 Posted October 26, 2005 49ers Raiders Rams Saints Texans Damn man.....how deep is your league? That is ugly...thought my situation was bad. OAK vs TEN get's my vote.....Banged up QB, Banged up WR, and who the heck knows what is going on with the running game.
PittFootball 0 Posted October 26, 2005 49ers Raiders Rams Saints Texans Wow, how many teams are in your league? I agree with noyb that Oakland might be the best gamble out of those. 12 teams. Must carry 2 D/S and can carry 3 if you can fit them under the cap. This season, Ravens screwed me and Colts saved me. D/S count more heavily in our scoring system than in most. Points given up, yards given up, turnovers, FG/xpoint blocks/misses, sacks, TD's with bonus for yardage.
noneofyourbusiness 0 Posted October 26, 2005 We changed our rules a few years back that required two DEF. Now most teams carry one and use that spot for RBs and QBs.
