Wildman 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Q: Can you discuss Mike Hass? A: "Here's a guy that played in the Pac 10, played at a high level of football there and here's a guy that, one of our scouts are walking in the hallway and Reggie Bush grabs him and says that's a heck of a pick. I want to be with this guy and I'd like to room with this guy type of player. You know you're getting a great kid, great intangibles. Mike Riley coached this kid at Oregon State, so you know there's a relationship there. There's a history there, some solid intangibles with this kid. He runs the right route, catches the ball when it's thrown to him. He's tough, he'll block. He'll do the right things. You'll like this kid. He's a decent size kid with good speed, but a guy that's going to be productive for you. He's going to show up everyday. He's going to do everything that you ask him to do and this kid found a way to be really productive in the Pac 10 and we really like him. I think he's going to have a chance to develop, another guy down the road we think will really be a guy we can get the ball to and count on to catch it." Q: Is he similar to Chase Lyman? A: "Similar type. Chase is a little bit bigger guy. Chase will bring a little bit different type of player, but they're probably battling. Everybody in that room's battling for a job, but Mike's a guy that I think's going to come everyday and bring his lunch pail and expect to play. This kid's thinking he's coming in to catch balls, not to make the team. I think we like the attitude about him. He's a competitor, so we're hoping to get that out of him. He's fighting for a job like everybody else. I think he's confident that he can get it done. I think they're similar kind of roles, but different players. Chase is a little bit bigger kid."
