Anyone know of a website design program that I should use?

I'm basically a novice. I have a site I have made...am working on...but the software I am using even seems too simple for me.

 

What is a program that can be downloaded, is fairly inexpensive, a "novice" can use, and yet is very capable of making professional looking websites?

Adobe Go Live is pretty good. The industry standard is Dreamweaver.

Notepad. To progress past novice, you need to learn the HTML.

I might just use a notebook, a sharpie and a webcam.

Notepad obviously only if you know HTML. However Dreamweaver is the best, but you can also go with Microsoft Frontpage which is cheaper.
