How does a flex roster spot change your drafting strategy?

In leagues with a RB/WR/TE flex spot, do you alter your strategy significantly?

 

Say it's std scoring, with PPR...

 

I am in such a league this year, and have been contemplating my strategy...looking for opinions.

With PPR I'd say you would target a RB like Westbrook that gives you some added depth and fairly consistent points.
