Good choice. These guys were neck and neck last year. Both are in divisions with a couple of strong defenses so I don't see much of an advantage from that standpoint.

Last Name	First Name	G	FPG	Crank	Sub Par	Elite	RB #1	RB #2
Dunn	Warrick	16	13.54	31.90	12.50%	6.25%	31.25%	68.75%
Parker	Willie	15	12.67	30.71	26.67%	6.67%	40.00%	60.00%

I admittedly have a bit of a bias against Willie Parker. A guy with one good year vs. a guy that has proven long ago that he's no fluke has me leaning towards Dunn. If Parker had the background of a Cadillac Williams or Ronnie Brown (college star), I'd probably choose him for his upside without question.

The Pittsburgh situation makes me a little nervous. Heath Miller should be a much bigger readzone threat--will that help or hurt Parker?

Atlanta is probably excited about Jerious Norwood and hope he can contribute this year as a change of pace back. Duckett is on the trading block...

Dunn had a 1400 yard rushing season and his 220 receiving yards were his career low. He has a weird pattern of alternating 3 TD seasons (2001,2003, and 2005) with 7+ TDs on the ground (2000,2002, and 2004). Will 2006 fit that pattern? Not much logic to explain it. Addiitionally, his receiving yards have been on a downturn since 2001.

I'm willing to stick with Dunn for one more year mainly due to the questions I have with Parker repeating his success.

Agreed, yet here we are more than 2:1 against Dunn.

:shocking:

if duckett is gone, i would probly give the edge to dunn. without some hog taking carries and tds from dunn, he could be a top 10 RB

I think it's understandable...the Steelers are world champs, have a great line, and Parker is an exciting, breakaway threat. Plus a good defense helps a rushing attack.

Still, I'm conservative about Parker after one good year.

Great thing about being a homer is you don't need another reason. FWP = Dunn, who really cares which one you get. Might as well take the one playing for your team when it's this close a call.

If I was targeting one of these guys in a draft & FWP was taken the pick before me, I'd happily take Dunn in his stead. Choice between the two, FWP.

Dunn has nowhere to go but up in my book. The TD vulture Duckett may be leaving, and a new system is in place to make better use of Vick in the offense. You can put him down for a safe 1200 yards, 8 TDs.

Parker came out of nowhere last year - there's nothing to indicate (to me) that he won't disappear just as quickly. I liken FWP to Quentin Griffin. Starter for games 1-4, then YANK for Duce.

Time will tell.

I respect your decision & stand by my pick. No one is going to scoff at you taking Dunn with Parker on the board.

Gotta disagree whole heartedly with your 1-4 game "YANK" assessment though. Parker is still developing and on the upside of his career (wasn't even the starter on his college team if I remember properly). A rare find. Interesting that you think he has peaked after his first full season.

Not so much peaking as it is playing beyond your potential. I don't think FWP has the talent to put up even 80 yard games consistently.

His splits from last year show that he averaged less than 3.6 yards per carry in 10 (TEN !!) of the regular season games he played in. Behind that offensive line, with threats at receiving in Ward, Randel El, and Miller -- I just don't like what I see.

I had Dunn last year in a league and he was a consistent producer he was good for 100 yards total a game and a TD from time to time. I would have to go for dunn because he is healthy gets a good amount of carries and catches. parker may have competition from staley and may take some carries away from him.

I chose Dunn, who I have the utmost respect for as a player and a fantasy prospect. It's close, however, as Parker is going to get plenty of touches. I just think the Duckett experiment in Atlanta is basically over and with Alex Gibbs still in charge of the offensive line, Dunn is going to have some running lanes and will produce big yardage numbers.

Both players drop significantly obviously in TD-only leagues (if those still exist).

Yes, for no other reason I would pick Dunn. Great player, great person. Underrated, he has played nicely. That offensive line will make it a little easier possibly.
