IDP ers, Draft next week; have questions.

draft will be 12 teams; 9 offense positions, 7 IDPs (3 DLs, 2DBs, 2Ds), 1 Kicker.

 

Offense stats

50 pass yds =1, 20 rush/rec yds = 1, -2 int, -1 sack, -1 fumble, -1 fumble lost

comp = .2, rush att = .2, 1 ppr

 

IDPs stats

1 solo tackle, .5 ass, 3 sack, 4 int, 2 fumble, 2 fumble recovery, 1 pass de, 3 block k, 3 safety.

 

In this format Guys like SA got over 300 ff pts a year, while top lineback got over 160 a yr.

 

When would you start taking the top LBs; Rd 12 too early? I figure since there will be at last 90 IDPs taken you need a game plan and not just what until the final rds. W/ about 90 of them taken, there won't be too many good FAs after draft.

We've done idp for years with similar scoring, and I would look to grab DL FIRST!!! While linebackers do score more, they grow on trees during the season( ie Kirk Morrison, Shawne Merriman). Lineman do score less however a good one will get you pretty consistant points where as most of them will get you squat. DL is the runningback of idp in my opinion, not enough good ones to go around. I drafted Jason Taylor last year in round 6 (14 team 26 man roster) last year and stole Robert Mathis in round 20.

Thanks for the input. I see what you mean, There are only like 8 good DEs in the whole league so you want at least one of them on your squad. W/ 3 points a sack, a DE having a good day could put you over the edge.
