Need draft position tactic compilation

Recommended Posts

Normally...everyone goes with the RB/RB-WR tact in the 1st 3 rounds. But does that apply to every pick in a 12-team serpentine draft? 1st pick may see a need to go RB/WR/RB versus a 7th pick that can go RB/RB/WR versus a 12th pick that may go RB/WR/RB/etc... factoring in the fantasy projections that we know right now.

Is there any good reference materials out there that are pick driven and the tactics utilized while factoring in the production of today's crop of NFL players?

My sig tells you what I have...12th pick out of 12 teams. Do I use the back-to-back picks to hopefully force a run on any single position. For instance...grabbing best RB available...then same for the next OR do I grab best RB and a top tier WR....OR do I simply go for two stud WRs if the scoring is identical to the RB (yardage/TDs). I'm thinking about going RB/top-tier WR to force a run on WRs in the 2nd round. Then on the wrap around...look at best available RB/WR on the 3rd round and if, big IF, go with a TE to start the 4th. If Gates is there...I think it's a no brainer. If not, that 4th round pick is gonna be a very tough call. WR position is deep. RB is not. If I'm looking for value...and if both are available...do you go with a Chester Taylor or a known starting RB versus a Gates at that spot?

I just see different scenarios panning out at different pick positions. Saying RB/RB/WR/WR is too simplistic and doesn't factor in everything. I went with a top-tier approach last year...finished 3rd despite Priest failing on me.
