FFKingofthemall 0 Posted July 28, 2006 Hey, I'm a fan of taking risk/reward oppurtunies when drafting my QB. I don't usually like to draft one until 5th/6th round, and in my league I think I could get Culpepper around then. Everybody in my league bashes on him for some reason or another, but I like the situation in Miami right now and think Chambers is verry talented. Why can't Culpepper get back to where he was a couple years ago? Don't tell me he can only play with Moss. When Moss was hurt two years ago, he kept putting up good numbers. Any thoughts? Kilroy 0 Posted July 28, 2006 Here's some feedback on him from board members: Culpepper I'm expecting good things from him this season as long as he doesn't have a set back with his knee. I seem to be higher on him than most in that regard however. If he's ready to go week 1, I think he could have 3800/25/15 and a couple hundred rushing yards with a few TDs too. FFKingofthemall 0 Posted July 28, 2006 hey thanks for that thread. A lot of the same arguments I've been hearing about Culpepper. Like I said, I like to go after those underrated guys and hope for them to emerge.
mdubz 0 Posted July 28, 2006 he's def a risk reward guy but i don't think reaching to get him is worth it. yeah he could be a top 3 qb at the end of the year but it's far from a guarantee. and for where you'd have to take him, i just don't see the value. I hope Culpepper slips in my draft, but by the time we actually have it, I think Culpepper will have moved up the rankings quite a bit.

Kilroy 0 Posted July 28, 2006 What makes you think his stock will rise? A lot of people won't select him because of his knee--at least not until/unless they see him play on it. Eveything I've read says he is well ahead of schedule. He's also taking part in practices with the team. If C-pep plays in a few preseason games and has no set backs, I think a lot of people will suddenly remember how good of a fantasy QB he was before last season. If he's able to play, I see no reason why he shouldn't have a good season. I've actually been surprised that his stock is as low as it seems to be right now. Once people see more of him moving and running around, I think they'll overlook the knee concern and will be willing to select him higher than he is currently going.
