I got the 10th pick in a 14 team Serpentine League...

Recommended Posts

Keep in mind...this is a 14 team, serpentine league and I working with the 10th pick. Now...I plan on going Running Back with my first pick. Now that guy that I was targetting to become my stud RB was Ronnie Brown. But based on a couple of mock drafts I've seen and also getting some feedback from other GM's in my league, I have a feeling that Ronnie will be gone by then...(possibly being selected as high as 7th). Now, at the 10th pick, if you had to choose an #1 RB with your 10th pick, and your possible choices were Lamont Jordan, Rudi Johnson, Caddilac Williams, Steve Jackson, and Willis McGahee, who do you choose, and why?

Wow that's a pretty place to be in a 14-team league. If it's PPR, I'd consider LaMont Jordan or even Brian Westbrook. I would say that you could consider Peyton, but if you take WR in 2nd Round, there will be absolutely nothing at RB in 3rd and 4th. I think in a larger league the RB position is extremely critical. If you have the guts, you could grab RB / RB / Gates / WR / Hasselbeck. Although it's pretty risky...

Print out a ADP for 14 team leagues and take it to your draft. :first:

I'd go with Rudi as my first choice, he's the safest of the bunch. Next choices would be Ronnie Brown, Caddy, Lamont Jordan, Steven Jackson.

I'd put Lamont even with or even possibly ahead of Rudi if it's PPR leage.

Now way in hell I'd use a first round pick on Willis though, even in a 14 man league. Hell I wouldn't use a 2nd on him either, I'd go for a stud WR and take my chances on a unproven, rook or comeback type RB in round 3, like Chester Taylor, R. Bush, etc etc, heck, I might take Willis in rd 3, but no sooner.
