PlatinumBalla 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Standard scoring...with .5 PPR...start 2 QBs...2 WR...2 RB...1 Flex QB - Trent Green QB - Jon Kitna WR - Hines Ward WR - Darrell Jackson RB - Tiki Barber RB - Ronnie Brown TE - Alge Crumpler Flex - Julius Jones K - Lawrence Tynes D - Miami BN Chester Taylor BN Jamal Lewis BN Matt Jones BN Eddie Kennison BN Marion Barber BN Derrick Mason QB2 concerns me...I will probably just play the best matchup out of Kitna, Carr, and Volek as they are the best FA's. I am trying to get someone's backup such as a Brees or Bledsoe. Any thoughts on how to improve my team or just an overall evaluation?
k9tofive 0 Posted August 17, 2006 I am guessing you drafted 4th or 5th by the Tiki selection. I personally think Tiki regresses back to the mean, but I respect the pick. The next two picks of R Brown and H Ward are surprising. Was Ward the best WR avail? Or did you get D Jax first? D Jax is the last WR in Tier 1 (IMO) and I like the pick and WR pairing. Once again a "rate my team" with T Green and Chester Taylor. I am a fan of Taylor, but I just cannot understand why SOOOO many teams on this forum have both of them. Jamal Lewis as a RB3 is good insurance. He could be good to trade later for the help you need - prob his bye week. Not a bad draft. You need some QB2 help as you know. FBH ** 0 Posted August 17, 2006 I like the make-up of the team, you have A LOT of QUALITY depth at RB. I actually like Kitna this year, better then Carr and Volek, I think that he has significant upside. My only real concern is no steady WR3 for your team, I am not totally sold in DJax's health yet, and I would not want to count on MJones or Eddie Kennison every week. With all that RB depth you should be able to land a quality WR3 through a trade.

I want to know how did you get Tiki, Brown, Jones, Lewis and Taylor? Was this a keeper league? Team looks good, and Kitna has some upside.
JREarly 0 Posted August 17, 2006 very nice team. especially at RB. i would hang on to kitna and pick up carr as well. maybe drop a player that is on your bench after week 1 or 2 that you know is not going to produce. i think carr will have a lot better year this year. i also agree that later in the year you can use lewis as trade bait to get what you need. you should be set with tiki, brown, JJ and chestor as your RBs. look for chestor to have a very nice year, especially as your #4. good luck. Tiki fell down to me to 6th because his age scared some people...the 10th guy went 2 WR which started a mini-run leaving Brown to me...then QBs and WRs dominated the next two rounds which left me with JJ...I got Lewis and Taylor in like the 7th and 9th rounds because everyone deemed Lewis as done and Taylor as too unproven...
