seagrams! 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Recently picked 8th in my 12 man league... Start 2QB, 2RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 W/R, 1Def, 1K 4 bench 1. (8) S. jackson 2. (17) R. brown [can't believed he got to me in the 2nd round] 3. (32) T. brady 4. (41) L. evans 5. (56) D. mason 6. (65) J. addai 7. (80) A. brooks 8. (89) Billy volek 9. (104) Heath miller 10. (113) Donte stallworth 11. (128) Keyshawn johnson 12. (137) tampa bay 13. (152) Mike bell 14. (161) Lawrence tynes I was surprised to get so many running backs, but i guess people in my league went on a splurge for WR. Any tips how to make this better? aggiewildlife 0 Posted August 18, 2006 That's great you got SJax and R Brown. Way to go. I don't think you need 3 QB's so my first recommendation would be to check the waivers for WR's. Look for Wilford, A Bryant, I Bruce, M Jenkins, guys like that. Drop Volek for one of them. If you're a big Volek fan, I highly doubt anybody will scoop him up and you can keep an eye on him and drop Brooks for him if he looks good early on. But having 3 QB's is probably excessive when there are other needs to be met. You also might try shipping M Bell or packaging him to the team with T Bell, see what you can get in return. Good luck, please see mine, thanks.
FBH ** 0 Posted August 18, 2006 I disagree with Aggie, in a 2 QB league, any starting QB is like gold. Great job stealing Mike Bell late, see if he is the starter in DEN, if not drop him to improve your WR corps. I really don't like the Lee Evans pick (Personally, I have him on my do not draft list), but you took what was available. It is very difficult to have a well rounded bench with only 4 bench spots. I would hold Volek, and play fill in the WR as the season wears on, and hold them if they explode. Just remember with that few bench positions, there should always be WR on the WW. seagrams! 0 Posted August 18, 2006 I actually targeted Volek for the later rounds. guess i had volek-bennett nostalgia from 2 years back. Brooks on the other hand plain SUCKS. Still, you're right, in a 2 QB league, can't afford to drop a starting QB.
BeeefyTaco 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Great first 3 picks, then the 4th with Evans? Not saying he's going to be a bust this year. He'll def be something positive, but in all my 12-team drafts, I've seen Evans going 7+ Rounds. There must've been a better WR than him on the board at that time, esp having to draft 2 QBs, some of the other teams prob went with Bulger/CPepp/Eli in the 4th as their first QB. Other than that, overall pretty good team.. SJaxx and Ronnie are going to tear it up for you! http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222425
